Yea I actually have some pics in my photobucket, or you can check my other post from when I built it the pictures are in there. I glassed the back so I could use as much of that airspace as possible. Glassing is actually pretty easy, just need the resin, a staple gun, the wood frame, and a roll of fleece. But Glassing into the quarter panel was pretty hard, trying to get it to stay in the place I wanted it without it falling was tricky

Yea it's easier to use and it's thicker so you won't have to use so many layers

Yea I filled it with stuffing from an old pillow, it's sounds really good inside, it's not real loud outside, but I don't care about what anyone else outside of my truck can hear. I actually thought about taking one of the subs out to give it more airspace, or just redoing the box completely

No I don’t, I’ve since taken it out, I really just cut the factory carpet and used it for the template, glued the pieces together and cut it just a lil bit big to make sure I didn’t miss any spots. I miss the wood floor but it was really heavy

How did your spare tire arrangement hold up? Any shifting or rubbing noise?

I love the wood floor. I will probably replace my carpet for that at some point. But to the discussion about the spare, it is a pretty inexpensive option to find a welder to put together a swingout. I am super happpy with mine. I need to redo my interior setup but it works for now so that is a later project.

I am just getting into this Yukon and would like to mount my spare internally. I don't carry large loads or in fact even use the back seat with any regularity. So the loss of cargo space would not be an issue. My Excursions used to carry the tire internally. Anyone make an internal mount for the Tahoe/Yukon?

The tire arrangement was only temporary until I got rid of those massive wheels and tires. Now I have a stock steel spare and it’s back underneath

Hey Dallas, I am a little bummed to hear you went back to stock steel spare underneath. does that mean you also went back to stock all the way around? I am long over due for an overhaul of my platform but I just cant find the space to get a welding unit and design it to start a new project. perhaps that will come in the summer.

Why would you be bummed, it was in the way and that wheel was way crusty and the tire was no good. No I got some new pro comps with new tires for $500 so I had to jump on it
