That's what I'm thinking here, mine sees WOT at least once a day bare minimum and a couple times on the weekend there's a section of washboard on my route that will beat the tar out of you at 20mph but gets darn near buttery smooth at 60 or so it's a truck, drive it like a truck.
here's one for ya, not a WOT but......... it's me

Ya, still cracks me up about one of the stupidest things I have managed to do without dire reaults
I think the best for me was like 2 years ago i was teaching my oldest to drive but i was actually driving telling her ‘see how i keep my head moving, looking in mirrors etc, etc’ as im looking at her while im driving… a f’in deer comes out and i tagged it with the hood and passenger side fender on my honda…lol

Every lone 'Stop' sign should be a 'Yield' sign.
Wherever there are two or more 'Stop' signs perpendicular to each other,
at least one of them should be a 'Yield' sign.

On a serious note...The Direct Injection engines can't really get cleaned out that way (WOT pull) because there is no PORT injection and that's the problem. The back side of the valves will always have carbon buildup because there is no fuel flowing over them. That's why in DI engines, even for longevity you should have an oil catch can.

There is a maintenance procedure from GM to clean the valves. There's a spray foam and a few hours of wait time and it will clean out your engine. A few mechanics say to run through the procedure a few times.

They are fun. Especially when I'm next to an unsuspecting Snack Pack on the parkway. I wish I had a picture of that guy's face when he got walked by a suburban lmao

Same. I think the torque converter is the only thing that has kept my trans from un-aliving itself..

The torque converters seem to be a problem point for the 6 and 8 speed transmissions. I believe you have a 10 speed so problems seem to be less common in that trans. I don't have any input on the new IRS on the newer models. I have the solid axle from the K2XX series and the G80 rear-end earned the name "G-bomb" for a reason.

I would think reasonable WOTs aren't an issue with the stock drivetrain. If you start driving it like Tony, Dou, or myself, you are probably in for upgrades in the future.

What kind of Tahoe do you have that can beat a **** pack?

I guess I’m somewhere in the middle of most of you guys. Can’t say that I *always* dog my vehicles out nor do I *always* baby them. it just depends on the conditions and my mood. If I’m relaxed, low traffic, short runs or highway driving I usually take it pretty easy on the ol’ girls. Any other time I drive ‘em pretty hard.

I’m more of an aggressive driver by nature, being in the city with a lot of other aggressive drivers doesn’t help either. To counter that I do my best to avoid potholes and crappy roads , make sure the vehicle is warmed up before hard driving and I also consider keeping up the maintenance paramount.

Hopefully you did the right thing. Went back to the sign to pick it up, and then brought it home for man cave /garage souvenirs !

Can't do that with the Nali, but I did get all 4 wheels to chirp once lol
and the on ramp going north near the house has a nice little groove in it, If I hit it at wot the front end launches and i'll get some front wheel chirp
the silverado I have to keep in auto otherwise i'll just do burn outs at every light

@Doubeleive, we could be Tahoe driving metal head friends \m/. I usually have something brutal playing loud while driving too, but I've yet to take a road sign out while doing it, lol. I work the Bose system in my Tahoe out with thrash/black/death metal on the daily.
if yours has ANC it gives it a little more kick if you disable it.

Suburban. Whipple, straight piped, 3k stall, 4.11s.

I don't think I can win from a dig just cause of the inertia to move 6k lbs that fast but rolling at 40-60mph I am good to go.

I got a bus length+ put on me by a Durango Hellcat once from a 20mph roll, so I know my limitations. There's a big drop off from 500HP to 700+hp.

The straight line speed is fun but I'd rather be out on the road course. Pulling up to AutoX events in a full size SUV turns more heads than a McLaren. They only take me serious when I am not the slowest guy on the track.
