PS. I had called the service department, when it happened, where I bought this Yukon and asked the service manager if he had any reports of this occurring, and he said no, it was probably the rain had gotten into the drivers door switch and shorted it out.

I guess I won't be using their service department for repairs.

What did you really expect? They can't diagnose anything over the phone. And since it's a feature and not a bug, what else are they going to say?

I used to have customers call me and explain a problem over the phone and wanted not an estimate but wanted a hard quote from me. To try and lighten the mood a bit I would tell them to hold the phone close to where the problem is and I would try my best to look thru the phone connection to diagnose the problem. They would say, "Wait, what?" I said, "exactly". The vehicle would then be scheduled for the inspection.
