Mine came from a wrecking yard also with known compression and oil pressure as they run them on a test stand before selling them. Also had a 6 month guarantee.
Naturally, 8 months later i finally installed it. I don't remember the cost atm but seems like $1900.
Wow, that's a great price for a 6.2. My local yards want $3k for "low miles" ones, which means 150k miles or less. For $600 I get a self-pulled engine with a 90-day warranty that might be a buildable core, or might be junk.

I was a nut for big fancy plug wires in my racing days! LOL These GM wires work just fine, even old ones as long as they're not damaged or worn on the ends.

If they ohm out in the 800s, your good to go.
Checked the ohm reading all the plug wires i had lying around here. All were between 600 and 900.
Did not check the ones on Cracker but i ordered a new set anyway.
Did not think to check the ohms of the new plug wires but for sure the idle is smoother from cold to hot. Never seen a totally smooth 6.2 though. Is that normal?

Also, 1500 ish miles now and still no leaks i can find and oil still looks clean.

Na. Stock.
Putting in a cam, checking pushrod length, maybe springs and finally a tune was more than i wanted to deal with. Expensive also.
If I could find a tuner around here i would get the stock tune done though. I do have HP Tuners but i don't know how to use it.
BB is too expensive for me now so stock is fine.

I would not call it a lope or a misfire.
The wife's 5.3 and my buddies 5.3 idle glass smooth in gear.
Every 6.2 i have seen idles slightly rough in gear. Im not saying it's a bad idle, just not glass smooth like a 5.3. In my experience anyway.
