i would like to mention this is definitely vehicle specific on the octane and such. e85 aside there was actually a study done by motor trend regarding octane ratings and newer cars. they tested 5 vehicles i believe and seen varying results. one make/model actually got less mpg and power on 93. one had noticeable gains across the board. i don't recall the stats on the other 3 but just commenting. if you decide to make a change make it on a full fill up run it then see what you got. i also suggest atleast a second tank to compare your first results.

How would this compare to the 19 gal of e85 and 7 of 87? I'm starting my second tank today, I saved about $21 vs filling up with 93!

That would give an alcohol content in the 50s or low 60s and an octane rating of about 100. I've been mixing E85 and E15 and wind up paying less than 87 on average for the last several tanks.

Wait you lost me.. You mean the 7g of 87 & 19g of e85 would give an alcohol content of 50-60?? Or did you mean the 93?

Because earlier you said "You could also fill her up with 22 gallons of 93 and 4 gallons of E85 and she would run even better still..."

And you also said "With a stock tune that 5.3 will run better with 93, better mileage, slightly more power, might run a little cooler, idle better, etc."

Right now I just started my second tank of 19g of 87 & 7g of e85 with a stock 5.3...

You wrote the opposite Dario in an earlier post. Nineteen gallons of 87 and 7 of E85 would yield an alcohol content between 22%-29% and an octane rating of 92.

I checked my bank statement..... The last time I filled my tank was 2/7/2020. I still have 1/3 tank.
Filled w/ regular.... Seems just fine around town.... My work is 5 minutes away, so I don't go far...
I will just fill it with "High Test" when I haul a 12' trailer next month across Florida.

The stations within the town you're heading to are real proud of their fuel! Just head outside along 441 or a little further east for better prices. Get GasBuddy app and have a look if haven't done so already.
