Absolutely. It applies to all vehicles with a MAF sensor using an oiled filter.

If you have a filter like a K&N, make sure this is part of your normal routine

It really only applies to when you over oil the filter, however I usually just clean my filter.
Clean the MAF.

Run it for a week, then clean the MAF again for good measure.


I have a K&N for my Tahoe, but I haven't installed it yet.

And if you do get one, make sure you buy it for a 6.2
Same filter dimensions, but the 6.2 has more and deeper pleats than the one for the 5.3 (For some strange reason).
