Hey all, been a Tahoe owner for 12 years, had a 2004 Avalanche before that, traded it for the Tahoe when I discovered it had the dreaded "706" head castings.
Was born and raised on a dairy farm where we had Chevy trucks and IH tractors, I was driving our 1954 6400 dump truck at age 7 in the hay fields.
My life seems to go in 20 years spurts, 20 years on the farm, 20 years driving a delivery truck, and have been with the Postal Service for the last 20 years. Heck, my first marriage lasted a little over 20 years! Love working on my own stuff, the only time a vehicle of mine darkens the door of a dealership is for warranties and recalls, although it seems like you need a degree in computer science along with mechanical knowledge to work on cars these days.
