IDK, maybe? but it might need integration of some caddilac modules and getting them working right with the OEM BCM
That’s what I think will be the ticket - it will need a connection to the BCM then a custom program to integrate. Either way, this looks great and can’t wait to see your other projects come together!

So, another reason to go with DDP, if you buy that massive radio. They are ready to send me an another entire radio set up complete. I've currently said no, let's see what Linkswell says. I'll share any troubleshooting advice or stuff that we go through. I inspected all the wiring and connections, and currently have the burb sitting outside with the dash halfway torn apart so i can easily access anything that needs accessed. joys of secondary cars i guess. Would only take a couple of minutes to put it back together, but i'd rather figure out whats going on rather then just try throwing stuff at it I suspect the canbus module is faulty, but not sure about the reverse camera not working. So we will see what Linkswell comes back with, i reached out to them over the weekend and expect to hear back today on some trouble shooting tips

In the meantime, i did look up my paint code, as some of you might remember, and painted some mud flaps. While they do look good, and will be very functional. the paint color uh....yeah, doesn't match. i realize the pearl can be a PITA to match, but this paint matches the wife's Acadia and my buddies 19 truck, not the burb. I might try and see if i can find a better paint match, or worst case i have a buddy that paints show cars. i could probably talk him into paint matching them for me.....but anyhow. These are Husky liner front mud flaps. We live on dirt/gravel roads. Husky PN 58201 Perfect fit, was easy to paint with minimal prep. they should do their job to help protect the paint and the sides from the tires throwing to much debris. The factory rears were paint matched so i figured i'd give these a shot at paint matching. The interiors i painted with rattle can bed liner, and we will see how much it annoys me or not. maybe once the paint is dirty it won't be noticeable....

They are installed using 3 T15 screws that are already holding things together, turn the wheel unscrew, install. nice and easy

Oh and something else. If anyone buys the 6 hi mod from amazon. I installed mine, no issues. Buddy of mine with a 19 3500 bought one, and it didn't work right, he got a 2nd one, still didn't work right. So i pulled the one out of my suburban and we tried it on his truck. Worked perfectly. So we took them apart, the 2 he got were wired identically. Mine was wired correctly. So we rewired his, basically the diode was soldered in between the wrong wires. It would turn on his fog lights with the running lights. The way this mod works is it bypasses the BCM which drops the fog lights when high beams are enables, and takes the high beam output and jumps it over to the fog lights output, so your high beams will always turn on your fog lights. Fleece has a diode chip that slices the factory wires, i do not like that. This kit from amazon is a jumper harness with a diode in there, low tech solution, that doesn't require any modifications to your stock wiring. i greatly prefer this style. if Fleece made one for twice the price i'd buy theirs because they would have the quality control to wire them all correctly....but just a heads up. if anyone else orders one, understand they are likely made in batches, and may need to be fixed. You can fix them by removing the diode and re-attaching it to how Fleece tells you to install their set up. We just copied our known good one since that was easier.

Mild update on the radio, after doing some diagnostics Linkswell thinks the canbus module is bad and will be sending a replacement. They had me verify all my connections for a 3rd time. Sooooo she sits taken apart in the driveway until that shows up

I spaced on taking the video Thursday night, Linkwell asked for a video going through various settings and pages. Instead of taking that video i decided to help a buddy out by getting my stuck truck twice. So Friday night i took the video, it's been sent to Linkswell, and i am expecting to get notification of a whole new radio soon. Seems like they aren't sure where the problem is, so when i get the new radio i'll start with just installing the radio and keep my old harnesses. See if it works, if not, then i'll start swapping out all teh harnesses again. One one side, it's nice that linkswell is standing behind their product, but you need to contact them through your dealer. So working witha good dealer is going to be worth it's wait in gold.

Other then that, yes i do have other parts stacking up, but one project at a time, once the radio is working properly, i'll be able to get started on the next upgrade

Good on them that they are starving behind their product! I am excited for your review of it when it’s fully working

Update on the linkswell, we are making progress. they sent a replacement out, i swapped just the screen / head unit, and now everything works as it should! so it appears the issue was with some programming in the old head unit. The backup camera isn't quite working, but i only had a couple of minutes to mess with that yesterday. I'm going to play with ti some more this weekend, and swap the backup camera harness as well and see if that fixes it.

Oh, also installed a dash cam last night. easy install, although i swear i wish they would give just a little more room on the T Harness and just a little more room in the plastics to stuff them away

Is the rear camera a replacement for the factory one the is compatible with the OEM head unit?

Linkswell has an adapter harness that steals the factory feed to the HMI behind the glovebox, and redirects it into a RCA jack that connects to the linkswell head unit

Sorry for the typo in my overly coherent message haha but getting an actual usable camera may be the best selling point of this head unit!

So you could run your own camera. I wonder if there is a blank plate for the camera location, then you could mount your own and just run it to the head unit. If i can't get the factory camera to work right, i think that's what i will do. And if there isn't a blank plate for the base models, then i could always get something 3d printed for it, then just mount a camera to that.

I will say, currently my truck is down so the burb got upgraded to DD status. And overall, i am very happy with the Linkswell radio. only 2 things i need to look into is backup camera, and the microphone pics up everything. Which is fine if your not moving while on the phone, but once your going down the road the other person has a hard time hearing you. So i'm going to play with some settings and see if i can't get the microphone to drop off background noise some how. being that it's the same microphone every radio ships with, and while parked there are no issues with clarity, i think the issue might be in the settings somewhere

Quick search shows LS and PPVs had cameras… would likely need to model the camera plate then just delete the camera mount?
Unfortunately I don’t have a 3D printer

Honestly, for $30 you can buy a whole camera, then just pop out the old one and install a new one in it.. you could probably even steal power and ground at that connector, and only have to run a video cable up the the head unit

So the question is, does anyone have a pin out on this connection?
