Hey guys

Man i miss my tahoe PPV. i bought it in 2021, drove it 10k miles, and sold it for the same price i bought it for 3 years later. The alternator and fuel pump did both go out though, leaving me stranded 2x.

Despite that, the power and race truck feel of the PPV hasnt left me. I loved it so much. The 13 mpg hurt but I want to get back into a GMT900.

I've always loved the 2nd gen escaldade. Buy after drivng one, i think i was spoiled by the GMT900, so i've decided to go with an 07-14 escalade.

I want it to handle like my PPV did. The ppv just felt planted. Maybe it was the lowered suspension, or the wide tires- regardless I want the escalade to feel like the tahoe did, just with a 6.2L instead of a 5.3 and better creature comforts.
If this was your build, how would you go about it?

I was thinking shocks/ struts and swaybars, and wheels/tires. Maybe a tune and trans cooler/oil cooler. Fat exhaust and cam later. What do yall think?

Wheels (don't go too heavy!) & Tires, BRAKES, steering, springs, shocks, and swaybars are what make the Tahoe Z56-PPV so different from an Escalade.
It's not the tire width, it's the sidewall construction and rubber compound that differentiate the Z56-PPV from the Escalade, so do what you want with the tires.
For even better results, find 3.73 axles (or 4.10 if you're REALLY leadfooted), and remember to get the ecm & tcm tuned to improve performance and durability.
You'll get better performance results from 3.73 or 4.10, than you will from a cam without changing gears.
Don't forget that gears can pay for themselves over time by improving MpGs, that's something a cam will NEVER DO.

You also may want to very seriously consider GMC Denalis that also came with 6.2L V8s that were less likely to have any Engine Half@$$ schiesse.

Install a set of front and rear Hellwig sway bars. They are pricy, but they will virtually eliminate any roll in the truck. Combine that with a good set of tires, and you will notice a very significant improvement in the handling capabilities of that beast.

Both @OR VietVet and I installed Hellwig sway bars, and we each have our test cloverleafs. The before and after changes in reduced body roll and increased speed to tire squeal are truly amazing.
