Hmmm, stumbled onto this, looks pretty clean for an installation for a dash cam. I have a simualr Y harness set up on my truck, but a full integrated cover set up, now thats slick....

Looks like the company has been around since 2015 making these. Might get one for the burb and the wife's acadia. FIL just got hit by someone in an intersection where the exact conditions would normally say it's his fault, but the damage of the vehicles kinda says it should be the other person's fault. No witnessess or anything, which makes me think a dash cam for all of our vehicles makes sense rather then just the one in my truck

i'll test it out. Ordered 2 of them, 1 for the burb, and 1 for the wife's car. Kinda wanted to think about getting one for my truck, but already have a different one in there, so when i replace my truck in the next year, if i like these, i'll get one for that too.

Oh I like that! That’s actually been one of my biggest reasons I haven’t gotten a dashcam. I hate the non-OEM look because they look tacky… might get this!

That project is all you! lol. I have my truck if i need to get off the road or do real work. the burb is just a beater with a heater to keep miles off our other vehicles. But i also have a history of having overly nice beaters with heaters because i like to spoil myself
I have an oldschool Land Cruiser that is truly an offroad monster. The Sub will never be that type of vehicle but I also like the look. Seats and mirrors first. Then maybe some cameras then who knows. Appreciate you supporting other members to boost the economy!!

New LED bulbs would be the quick&cheap fix.

Your beater with a heater is nicer than most ppl’s daily haha

That's the plan. Gotta make it more valuable then what i have into it. Lol. Once i get the radio in the only thing a 26 will have over me is super cruise

Also time to let these hang out and cure until next weekend

Does a 15 have lane keeping system? I know my truck has lane detect but no centering or anything. Have you seen Comma AI? It can add self driving to a lot of cars.

Sadly no lane keep, just detect. But i did look it up, i thought i had hydraulic power steering. But according to Google it's electronic....

But a quick check with comma and it doesn't support the k2s. I had heard of them. Just haven't owned a vehicle that supports it. Well i guess my wife's Acadia. But it already has super cruise

I know my truck is hydraulic. Wonder if the standard K2s are hydraulic with and electric assist?

Not sure, good just said the 1/2 tons and burbs are electric. I know even to today all 3/4 and 1 tons are electric, which is why you don't see any form of computer driving on any of the HD trucks. It's not that someone doesn't want to do it, it's just none of them have migrated to electric steering to make it possible

But mud flaps look good, going to tape them off and bed line the inside portion of them. I guess i could've taped them off and just not painted the inside, but they were hanging and i didn't have tape so i'll do it this way. Everything should be in order for Radio and front mud flaps getting done this weekend

got the interior of the mud flaps black with bed liner last night, so those should be good to go for this weekend. Hoping to have the time Sunday to do the radio, i guess we have plans Sunday afternoon, but really the radio shouldn't take much. It's going to take longer taking everything apart to swap the radio then it will to actually install it...

Still playing with it some. But wireless android auto works which was the main goal. Going to spend some time playing with it. I Will say this is the most extensive radio I've ever swapped. I've done some complicated installs before but Jesus.... I'm not doing my other projects. Im ready for a drink because i think i need to pull it to check a couple things.....

Wow! That’s a screen!! Could be a new car off the showroom

Does it retain rear climate control? What was difficult about the install

Just the myriad and connections, needing to get behind the glovebox. I took my time, but it is a heck of a harness to get everything connected. I'm glad there is so much room behind the screen.

And yes, the XLs maintain rear HVAC controls, you only loose the hard buttons for the rear controls. but they go digital. You can easily access any of the HVAC controls by swiping right on the bottom and hitting climate to go full screen. or you can control it in the small screen. I'll take more pictures as i go through it and keep playing with it. Drove some at night last night and wasn't bad at all. I love having the huge screen and wireless AA now. i keep it mainly on AA watching the map. So convenient having such a large screen now. And it's basically a tablet, so you can add anything from the play store onto it

I wonder if I will have to do this to integrate the Cadillac seats?
