If you call into DDP Motorsports out of Texas and talk to Clayton, he will hook you up and save you some money. Tell him i sent you, and he'll get you taken care of. i buy all my stuff for all of my rigs from him, great guy, and i get to support small American owned businesses when i buy through him. I prefer giving the little guys a chance rather then just going with the big box distributors whenever possible

but in terms of headlights...i'll sell you the old ones i pulled off and put them in the Morimoto Boxes. So at least you'd get the morimoto boxes to take Instagram photos with
Geez. You think I have Instagram?? This is my largest online footprint hahaha

If you pay for next day shipping maybe I’ll take you up on the offer (;

I will give your guy a call if I pull the trigger! Thank you for the connect!

If it makes you feel better, i don't have one either or i'd already be all over it. Only social media i do is forums. I'm old fashioned that way

Whats really going to make you jealous is the new radio. I ordered a front camera to install at the same time, 99% sure i can get the wiring done without pulling the grill. I got the LED emblem on without pulling the grill, so i should be able to mount a camera where i want to without needing the grill off, which is why i said eff it, and did the lights this weekend. I noticed the head unit is set up to be able to control the front camera from the head unit, so now's the time to install them IMHO. I could add side cameras, but i don't feel like doing those atm, even though i could mount some inside the esky mirrors. But thats a project i don't want to get into right now. As cool as having a DIY 360 camera set up would be. then about the only thing an esky would have that my burb doesn't would be massaging seats...

I am very curious about your head unit and ongoing review. I’m not a big fan of big screens, I was heavily considering a new body style Ford Expedition Platinum but the big tablet screen really had my hesitant. I like the head unit in the K2 trucks but a front camera would be REALLY nice…

As for the massage seats… I’ll keep you posted. I’m still working on that as I have both front driver and passenger seats with the passenger seat wired [I believe correctly]. Holidays and some general “life” things have stalled the project a bit but I am determined to get them to work!

I am a big fan of larger screens. After playing with the one in my wife's acadia, i love it. The Linkswell is about the only one that includes a dial for the volume, and it doubles for the hVAC controls too. Plus with it being fully ready to accommodate front, side and rear aftermarket cameras while retaining the factory one, thats a big plus. Although one of my main reasons was to add wireless AA. the 16+ have wired AA, and if i'm being honest, if i had that i would probably not have gone for the bigger screen. but i'm also the type that if i'm going to upgrade things, i'm going to upgrade them to modern standards. I'm really looking forward to getting that screen in, then next up will be doing the IC, i still go back and forth on doing the esky IC or the denali one. that's my big hangup on the IC, it hink the fit and finish will look better with the denali screen, so while it will cost a bit more, i might just go that route, but i haven't decided.

I’m so torn on screens… My truck has wired and I put in a $10 wireless adapter that works GREAT. By the time I get in and start the truck it has already connected so that is hard to beat.

The IC is a toss up… I’m curious to know what you do. I generally like the IC but if I’m going to change it I might consider the Esky… idk. I need to get thru tax season before I go spending $$

I did not expect these to be so nice for being aftermarket. THe output is very nice and the high beam has a good hot spot. I build headlights for my cars and while I like thorwing something on it and forgetting about it, for the cost of aftermarket lights I can always over achieve output and come in way under cost but it takes time to do the work on a set of these lamps.

Yeah, i've had buolt headlights, high end OEM headlights, cheap housings and just about everything. While yes, you can build something with some D2S projectors and 55w HIDs that will outperform just about anything, there is a time consideration in my mind. For a drop in housing, i have yet to see anything that truly comes close to the build quality of Morimoto. I have a set in my truck that hasn't served me wrong over several years. I've spent lord knows how much in lighting over the years playing with different things and i honestly don't have the time to build a set anymore, or mess with the issues that can arise with CANBUS systems and HIDs. IDK how bad GM is with them, but Rams can be finicky. I honestly truly hate drop in LEDs in any housing, because they don't work right and nobody listens to you as to why something that visually looks good, actually looks horrible. bright does not equate to quality lighting. Beam patterns and refraction designs are a thing. There are times engineers actually earn their keep, and lighting is one of those times. But regardless, i do very much enjoy how much effort Morimoto puts into making a truly drop in housing with high quality LED projectors. Once you account for the time and effort that goes into building a set of housings, it's hard to not just buy the XB housings and call it a day in my book

I need to reassemble my Esky IC. i might be able to play with it this weekend. Winter not being a thing threw my plans out of the window. Instead of having cold days where you jsut don't want to be outside, we are getting warm muddy days and realizing there are things we can do and get done rather then my going after my pet projects with wasting money on cars....

Ugh. Radio might not be this weekend. Waiting on the bose module, and it looks like its currently on track to deliver Monday. went through the box to ID all the connections and noticed the bose module wasn't there, so Linkswell had to send one out separately.

@Bigburb3500 to help appease you, i did order something today, that will deliver tomorrow, so i can do one project this weekend related to the burb. Even if that project is going to lead into me spending more money because it will force me to want to upgrade something else.....

I've been there. Lol. My bank account prefers it when i live through other people compared to when i do things on my own vehicles
Ain’t that the truth! Right now I’m saving for the Trail Ridge mirrors and to complete the Caddy seat retrofit. I THINK I found a shop that can help and maybe a local guy as well.
Next will be a lift and custom front bumper. I like the offroad look and ability - not that a Suburban should be hard core off-roading. Issue is not many companies support this truck found one place that does a coil over conversion but it’s mad $$. Would be sweet tho!

That project is all you! lol. I have my truck if i need to get off the road or do real work. the burb is just a beater with a heater to keep miles off our other vehicles. But i also have a history of having overly nice beaters with heaters because i like to spoil myself

All my DDs are beaters with heaters/AC.
Only had 2 vehicles i did not ever have to work on in my younger days. Best most boring cars i ever had. 86 Chevy Eurosport 1973 Pinto wagon.
Wife will not drive any of my DDs.
