Big 3 and Amp wire upgrade

This may be stupid, but I am looking to do this but am not exactly sure wich wires I am upgrading. Could someone fill me in?

the k&n cleaner and oil

The big 3 is alt. to batt., the batt ground, engine to ground

If you have the 5.7 vortec where is the ground for it?

The battery ground on the engine is on the passenger side behind the harmonic balancer, next to the crank position sensor. You can see it and access it from below or above. It has a few other wires grounded on it as well.

nice im running all my 1/0 guage this weekend and doing my big 3 upgrade as well as installing my 190a alt from dc power

I learned that if its cold outside the wire is a real bear to work with, I also learned that if you heat it up ( ceramic heater) its 10x easier..Good luck and post pics when your done!
