Anyone on this forum have this combo? I've seen on the LS1truck forum someone did this setup but it was just him showing it off. Before I go souping up the 350 5.7 I'm debating just waiting and investing in something I'll be happy with as it is for awhile. Which year and model is the 6.0L out of with 375 hp @ 5200 rpm with 492 foot-pounds of torque? How hard is this setup to do?

I think what I'm thinking of is a 6.0L vortec marine engine... Is there anything similar for a truck?

I guess I'm leaning toward a L76 or L92. Could this fit? Is it even possible?

There's plenty of info on the swap on the LS1 forums. LS1truck has a complete write up on it.

Bout to do the swap on my 99 2door. 6.0l LQ9 and 4L80E out of a escalade. With just a cam and stage 1 LS6 heads mine should b around 500hp with a good tune

Isn't just a matter of swapping out an ECU for the motor and tune of course.

For the 4L80e shortening of drive shaft and something with the tranny ecu or control unit itseld.

Keeping the LQ9 for another project and got a killer deal on a new in the crate LY6 6.0 with the L92 heads an VVT cam. With a tune, a little head work, an cam swap I'll be around 500-550 fwhp bout the same as the LQ9 but better technology.

Finishing putting the cepek lift on this week (replacing ball joints sucks a**!!!!!) and then it's motor swap time.

I'll get a bunch of pics an post em up as I make sum progress.

Bowtiefreak my tahoe has the same paint scheme as yours.

This seems like its going to be a bit farther down the road then I thought I'm currently dirt poor right now... IF I had a dime to spare it would go towards the hoe =[...

After I finish the lift and the engine swap it'll be at the body shop. Gonna be the same color with smooth bumpers, cowl hood, handles shaved, and smoked lights
