Gibby the only fear with more aggressive is cabin drone. Th rear of a Pickup truck is not enclosed like and SUV. The GM performance system retains one of the flapper valves to help with this.

In our '06 Envoy Denali XL, I did the muffler delete and had it that way for 80k miles or more.

I did some searches and it looks like there are quite a few swapping just the mufflers or doing a delete and retaining the flappers.


Think I am going with the delete and retaining the flappers. If I don't like, I am thinking of going with the Flowmaster Flow FX.

I just had the gm performance cat back exhaust installed and it is pretty darn similar to the stock in terms of sound and look. I haven’t really banged it out yet to see performance wise but no drone and looks good but very similar to the stock in terms of appearance and sound.

I also had the chrome emblems removed and all black logos installed which I like and the bow tie mirror ground lights.

Should of installed a corsa muffler. I have zero drone.

Any chance of you making any videos of the Corsa? Am a big fan of Corsa. Can’t wait for them to put out their own product for the 21’s. Dunno why it’s taking so long for the aftermarket guys to develop the exhaust systems for our application.

Just for clarity, you completely removed the muffler? Did you leave either of the flapper valves in position and what about the resonators? Is this on a 5.3 or 6.2? Can you quantify "incredible"? I'm looking for more sound and horsepower but I've been down the drone at cruising speeds and that just gets old quickly.

I removed the whole muffler and left the flapper valves. I did not remove the resonators. It is a 6.2L. I will try to get a video posted on here of the sound. Very little drone at hwy speeds.

I am about to pull the trigger on Magnaflow #19541 and wondering if anyone has been using this exhaust system for 2021 Tahoe. Compared to the GM performance one, this looks better with blacked tips and the price is undeniable.

I have my doubts about Corsa... I mean they won't even sell you a muffler, you gotta buy an entire kit. I've lost faith with Corsa.

I checked and the only ones I found were meant for Hot Rods and don't have the same baffling like in their sport or touring kits have.
