I posted this in the Corsa thread but figured I'd try here too. Can someone with the GM Perf exhaust and someone with the Corsa exhaust do this?

When I was doing the exhaust on my X5, I made the video below. I used the app Decibel X and set my phone up about 6 feet away from the rear end before cold start. According to this app, my cold starts average about 96dB.

If anyone is feeling experimental, I would love to see this done with the Corsa and GM Perf on the 6.2! Trying to get a gauge on how loud the cold starts are so I can pull the trigger on one.

Fast forward to the end for the results...

Wonder what my Soul on my M5 F10 would hit db wise on a cold start ;)

Hey all, I posted this in a different thread. I purchased and paid for installation for this exhaust:

The dealer said they cannot install it. 2021 RST Suburban 5.3L. Ive already changed the valence to the dual exhaust.

Does anyone know it says compatible but it doesn’t bolt up? Also, any other dual exhaust options out there??
I would imagine that's just the dealer saying that. I would think some local muffler & Brake shop would do it for you and add any hangers at the exit area if needed.

Hey Frant, if you have the 5.3 with single exhaust stock you will need a few more items to switch to the dual exhaust.

84688688 spare tire heat shield for dual exhaust
23388784 & 23388785 left and right hangers
11589166 x4 hanger and shield bolts
15672093 x4 bumper nuts
11548585 x4 u-bolt brackets
84682684 left side exhaust shield

Does anybody have any links to a Corsa drive by video? Too many if idle cold starts. Trying to decide if I want it.

Fun tip. If you register with corsa and leave the cat back in your cart they keep sending you coupons to make you pull the trigger.
You can as well do a live chat and ask for a coupon code...just got a 10% off and free shipping code.

In reference to poor fitting CAI and stock status on the CAI/exhaust...see attached.

Great question, no so I removed the stock muffler and resonator along with the flapper valve and curved out my tip to the side. Went with dual tips 4” on the passenger side rear only on one side. The rest of the piping is all stock i believe it is 2.5. I know some folks like going with 3” piping for better flow but mine is just fine with me.
Removing the resonators is probably what makes yours a little louder, sounds great tho, American muscle!

Borla just listed a Touring version on their website which I know many say is the GMP exhaust.

Whatever happened to the touring version catback for the '21+ 6.2L Tahoe? All I see is a sport version on their website. Also does anyone know if Cold Air Inductions website has a coupon code anywhere? I found one they posted on this forum back in 2013 but it doesn't work anymore.

Comparing the pictures I'm fairly certain that GM is simply using Borla as their supplier for performance exhaust as the Touring versions. Gonna likely buy that one for my wife's Yukon and DIY. Want a little more aggressive than stock but if there's even a hit of drone she'll tell me "no bueno".
