Picked up the new truck this morning. Carbon Black over black. Sun & Entertainment Package and power running boards. Had the dealer tint the front windows. Already have quite a bit of stuff ready to go on. Here's a list of stuff I plan on doing:

HID retro from Black Flame Customs
HID fogs (6000k) 25 watt from hidextra.com
LED backup, license and puddle lights
Tint the stock tail lights
2/3-4 drop kit from Tony (NorcalSS)
Debadge
Vinyl overlay for front "GMC"

Still undecided on wheels. Likely 24s, but may go full-baller and do 26s. Favorites so far are the 24" CK375, Dropstar 644C, KMC Slides and the U2 55s. Feel free to suggest others.

Ordered wheels and tires today from local Discount Tire. My buddy is the store manager, so he gave me a killer deal. Should have them on by Tuesday.

Wheels:

Tires: (295/35/24)

Hope to have the other mod's (HID retro, HID fogs, exterior LEDs, SLP exhaust tips, Tony's 2/4 kit with strut mod) done Saturday.

Having a local painter / airbrush guy paint the front "GMC" to match the Carbon Black on Monday. He's also going to de-badge the truck and buff / polish afterwards. Leaving the moldings on for now.

Looks great. Can't wait to see it with the wheels on and all your other mods go on.

Don't compound it if you don't have to. Black is a very hard color to polish properly. If the truck is new a good clay and 3m wax will keep it looking day 1 new. Compound it later once the sun bakes in a bunch of crap and you get some minor surface scratches from all the girls rubbing up on it.

No need to rush swirl marks.
