@iamdub ok buddy I have some more drive shaft angle measurements for you to help me make sense of. I had a hell of a time trying to get the device to be on a flat surface so here we go.

First 2 are the output from trans. Third and forth pic are rear end side.

Don't mind the cat in the back. ;)20200802_133719.jpg 20200802_133728.jpg 20200802_133828.jpg 20200802_133842.jpg

I'll keep an eye out!

Is there a particular model or year range they come on? Esky only? Denali only? One, two or three model years only?
05-06 Tahoe’s for sure not sure if it came on Denali or Yukon. You have to look at the truck, there’s no RPO code. Some yards differentiate them by descriptions like “ no frame around glass, wide trim at top” etc.

This tropical storm brought cool weather and has me on a roll today in the garage! Found the culprit of a squeak that surfaced a week or so ago only when turning left and low speeds. It's the brake pad clip getting stuck rubbing the rotor. Pulled it apart lubed it and problem solved.

Also as much as I kinda hate stickers I just want to world to know I have a mans-trans! Had to update the new window.

Lastly looking into the parts needed to move the trailer hookup into the bumper next to the license plate. 20200802_141000.jpg 20200802_130932.jpg 20200802_132534.jpg

What is weird is the randomness of it. I went to a yard and looked at 6 different 05-06 Tahoe’s of every type and none of them had that glass.

Yeah there were multiple other z71 05 and 06 tahoes at that yard none with the rare glass. GM did weird stuff in 05-07.5. Like the extended cab super short bed silverado that had a 5.3 and a stick shift. That's the rarest of the rare I looked everywhere for one and have only seen a handful none of which were for sale.

Cool! I thought it was exclusive to the higher trim models- Denali, Esky, maybe Z71, etc. That opens up the possibilities.

My local yard is an LKQ U-pull-it, so they don't keep note of specifics such as trim around glass, etc. I give 'em $2, pass the turnstile and the hunt is on! They're decently well-organized so I just head to the sea of fullsize SUVs.

Ok Dan is officially an angry man! The darn tooting yoke still eats the evap bracket like a fat kid eats cake. Did some measurements of the distance between the yoke and its food source as well as the space between the bump stop and pad.

Yoke to food source is around 3.5"

Bump to pad is approx the same 3.5" that's with the newer longer bump stops.

New theory is that the bumps aren't stopping the up travel soon enough especially since they will compress a little allowing the yoke to eat. So I'm looking at ordering bump stop set #3 maybe some 4" so I have 1.5"-2" of cushion.

That's where I found mine for $34! Mine has a website with pics of every truck in the yard that's how I knew there was one with the cool window.

Glad to see that sticker back on your Tahoe. No better placement!
