I’m just about to go do this so glad to hear it’s worked for many people. Did it fully fix the rub or just help a little?

It fixed the rub in the back, which only happened during hard cornering. I also removed the liner and trimmed the edge that met the fender lip and rolled the fender lip itself. Gained 1/2" of clearance. I haven't done the front yet but it only rubs on hard turns. I'll remove the liner and massage the metal in the offending areas then re-shape the liner to conform tightly to the metal. I'm a lot lower than you, though. Also, IIRC, my spindles (McG) brought the track width in 1/4" per side. Between this, the reshaping and my 275/45-22 tires, I hope to at least minimize the rubbing.

I actually already bought one with trans temp and more importantly it has a 7k rpm tachometer which never came from the factory in anything and as far as I can tell only one guy can do them. It’s pretty badass and although it was sorta pricy it’s not as bad as a lot of clusters I’ve seen for sale.

I will keep that site in mind tho I’ll end up wanting trans temp in my other truck eventually.

Yeah your twice as low as me I have no issues in the rear but the 14b is a 1/2” or so wider in each side so that helps clear the inner fender liner back there. I remember it used to rub a little before the 14b swap.

Luckily I don’t have to touch any metal I really don’t like rolling fenders and whatnot I’m not good at that stuff.

Looks awesome all cleaned up...I mean...the wheels are ok...

Honestly though, it does look better than I thought it would. Tires being all clean helps a ton! Black bumpers and grille will tie it together nicely

You missed a perfect opportunity with that shadow...

I might be in the minority here but I detest painted bumpers. My OBS had painted (rusty) bumpers. They are constantly getting chipped. I swapped them for chrome. I did have the black Z71 grill and black mirrors that removed some of the chrome. Thought it was a good balance with black wheels.

I’ve really grown to like them a lot, the LTZs are nice but the clear was getting hazy, the caps are annoying especially for me because I take wheels off to adjust stuff and inspect things all the time. The tires were starting to dry rot and there was too much fender gap imo.

I might have to edit the pic tomorrow at work

I didn’t realize they offered paint matched stuff on the OBS. Front bumpers live a hard life, I painted over a chrome bumper in my RCSB when I first got it and I don’t think it made it 10 miles before it was chipping like crazy.

I lied earlier I am getting rub on the inner wheel wells in the back. Went to a park today to go biking and got all twisted up on some uneven terrain while trying to turn sharply into a parking spot. Looks like it’s hitting in two places on both sides so back to work!

Liking these more and more! Went to discount tire to try and have my TPMS programmed and found out these tires ain’t got no sensors lol. Time to do the old swapper-doodle-doo.

No rub today and I purposely tried to corner extra aggressively but didn’t go off-roading and twist it up.

I've only used it once but it worked fine. The only thing is you have to place the tool flat on the sidewall, not just point it at the valve stem. When I first bought it, I couldn't get it to work. Fast forward to a couple months ago, I watched a video and they showed it sitting flat on the sidewall. It worked on my Yukon anyway.

Its a very simple tool.
