Well, well… something finally starting to fail…. My driver’s window switch….
It’s supposed to only raise up and down….. It just started to also move sideways.
Can I replace the one switch, or have to replace the whole component ?
( Time to run to the salvage yard? Or which aftermarket replacement is best ? )

I haven't seen individual switches forsale.. but amazon has replacement modules.
No idea if good or bad, but usually super easy to return if it doesn't work...
Think I'll order one now! Will update with results.

I figure a junkyard unit will be 20 years / 150k miles old as well, and more work to purchase and return..

Well the original is made by motorola..
Be careful removing it, even though I removed the front post screw, the post still snapped off :(
Replacement switch has a new bezel anyways.. And the rear clip retaining hole in the door panel looks a little stressed.

I'm not sure which one to order. There are two part numbers with the retracting mirror button, but my part number doesn't match either..

Dorman makes the more expensive version about $175.00. Be sure you notice the “power fold mirrors & power adjustable foot peddles” if you have those options.
The choices that cost around $117.00, shows “with fixed peddles”. also no mention of power-fold mirrors.
I have had good luck with Dorman in the past.
I had a problem with a smog pump on my ’88 GMC truck years ago….. 3 times with same problem… The owner of Dorman actually called me and ‘handled’ the glitch with a personal-special order at no additional charge.

ALSO….. I’m contacting Dorman about the switch….. They show a BROWN COLORED bottom….
I wish for a grey base / bottom…..

Interesting, the bottom of my OEM switch is brown...
I ordered the cheapo amazon unit for $50.. CXZHAZD brand! (It had the most reviews anyways...)
Should be able to post a review tomorrow.

Looks like...
15883319 folding mirrors / with adjustable pedals
15883320 folding mirrors / *without* adjustable pedals
15883321 *without* folding mirrors / *without* adjustable pedals
