I'm going with stockinteriors.com. I believe their brand is ACC and have heard a lot of good things about them.

Thanks, Felix. Hopefully it turns out as good as I have pictured in my head and have planned out. So far not much has happened that anyone can tell just from pictures (rust repair, radiator, muffler,...). For the past few weeks it's mainly been parts gathering for the interior makeover this Spring. The seat upgrade will probably be later in the summer, though. Then somewhere along the way I'll get a new wheel/tire combo and I want to get Amp steps by early summer. I'll also throw in a window tint here soon probably at the end of this month or in April. I've already spent quite a bit of $$$ on this thing just getting everything right and getting things fixed that were neglected by the previous owner(s).
In the end I hope to have a clean OBS with nice, clean custom touches. I hope to have a large chunk of it done by end of Summer. Then I'll start planning for things like LS swap and other more major items in the build.

The difference is I'm unable to DD a vehicle with a lift of that size due to where I work and the parking situation

We have a ProComp 2" leveling kit on our 2013 Silverado. Just enough to clear the larger tires, but not too high to get the kids in and out.

Why? The reason behind it is because even at stock height the wife and kids have a hard time getting into the truck. So my solution was Amp steps because they look better than chrome tube steps which I've had in the past but looked dated and no longer like the style much
I'm open to other suggestions, though.
I just think when Amp steps come down, it's going to look awkward on the OBS trucks.
If height is a problem, why not level the rear down?
I don't know how tall your wife is, but mine is 5'3" and had no issues getting into my truck when it was stock? Even at 9.5" of lift and the amp steps, she didn't have issues nor did the kids. The OBS trucks tend to sit lower than the NNBS trucks, no?

Yeah my wife is 5'5". The truck is cranked slightly in the front so it sits about an inch taller in front over stock. Not sure which sits higher nnbs vs obs when stock. Wouldn't surprise me if the nnbs is higher my oldest is 7 and he can get in on his but when it's raining he does have a harder time due to the slicker surfaces. My 4 year old is too short and needs to be lifted up but can do the rest once in there and my 2 year needs help with it all. The wife manages but has to kinda hop up and has requested steps a few different times.
I'll have to do some research. I know that I've seen some obs trucks with amp steps on them but I don't remember where. Pretty much when the doors were closed they weren't that noticeable from what I remember seeing. Definitely not doing tube steps or running boards or those little hoop steps

I'm honestly wanting your opinion on if not amp steps then what?
I told you. Level the rear down. I just don't see you needing amp steps on a stock height truck. If you had a decent lift on it, sure. Or just realize that your kids are going to grow and everyone will be able to get in without a retractable step, just like they did before AMP research was founded.

I have a GM under hood storage box on the way. TBH, i didn't even know these existed until someone else on another forum put it on their '88.
