07 escalade 2wd x115 (actually c109) pinout

Hello, I just bought an 07 escalade with 108k miles. Starts and runs well, and while the trans was low when i first picts it up after we added fluid it goes forward and backwards. Can't say i have tried all the gears, i didn'twant to push it so to low oil warnings . I hope it is just bad sensors (low oil and low oil pressure). Scanner shows oil pressure going from 0 to 129ish and back.

Anyway

While trying to diag the lift gate i noticed that the connector the goes from the fuse panel in the engine compartment to parts unknown has some random wires are cut or broke free from the fuse block side of the connector.

I have been searching for a pinout with no luck, so I thought I would ask here. I am sure populated pins vary with options...but I am hoping there is a standard setup....anyway it definitely looks like someone was in the plug. The plastic dividers are missing.

Any pointers appreciated.

Oil pressure going to 129ish??? I've never seen oil pressure go above 80. Get a mechanical oil pressure gauge at Harbor Freight, hook it up and let us know what the oil pressure is, as measured by a mechanical gauge. Cold oil pressure at idle. Hot oil pressure at idle. Hot oil pressure at 2000 RPM.


Post up a photo of the cut electrical wires, showing their location in the engine bay and the colors of the individual wire insulation.

You mentioned 'scanner'. What scanner do you have? Is it a quality bi-directional scanner, capable of finding deep trouble codes?

That is where it has been sitting for ~3 years, and I need to get a better picture but you can see some of the what I think are broken wires. There are floating wires I will get a better picture of when I get home. I **** that last night while trying to juggle a flashlight my phone and the wire loom...

Scanner is an older Launch X431 Amazon special. I was data logging the oil sensors. I have seen in posts somewhere else a bad pressure sensor can show that fluxuation, that it happens when oil wicks its way into the sensor and up into the plug end....have not R&R'd yet to confirm if that is indeed the issue.

You've got a decent scanner, so that is good for deep troubleshooting when needed.

When you do take the additional photos, please show that connector at a more distant view, as well, so that we can orient ourselves on just where that connector is located.

Thanks for the feedback. I am starting to look through that site and it looks like there is info, just need to find all the c115 references spread across the different pages

Update, it is the body side of the connector that I was looking at, it routes under the fuse box which is where I got turned around....

Thoughts?

Possibly connects to ebcm. Gray/black wires could be rear wheel speed sensors.
Perhaps they wired in a traction/abs defeat?

No codes?

2011 is as far back as I can find but being the same body style, the wiring is likely the same. If you know how to read these, I’ve found GM up fitter to be extremely helpful.

Will be replacing a couple of parts and then running for a bit to see what codes come up. It had been sitting for a while with a dead battery so need to get new codes pulled.

I don't think that's C115, if that's what you're indicating. The physical configuration of your pic doesn't match the connector view:

You definitely want the 07 and/or 08 diagrams. (Available at gmupfitter but maybe in the truck or general directory)
The later ones are addendums to the 08 diagram.

Okay still more work to do, but I agree it is likely the C109 connector on the main harness side I have been able to validate some of the wiring so yay....

And to make things more interesting it iis the NP8 connector on a vehicle that does not have the NP8 RPO code (unless someone swapped the glovebox door), and based on VIN (in glovebox) it is definitely a 2WD optioned escalade, but it has a transfer case....????? No front diff and front hubs do not have pass through for the splines.

Maybe it was the end of year parts bucket?

Are you saying you have a transfer case??
That is weird! Must have run out of driveshafts or front diffs!

Verify Vin and rpo sticker maybe..

Yes Transfer case and no front diff, no switch in cab, front hubs won't accommodate CV joint as far as I could tell

I need to double check VIN on glove box with VIN in front window....maybe the motor went bad and the swapped it in, but wire harness is hooked up to xfer case so I "ASSume" factory....

Thank you copilot for helping create a cross-reference between to two connectors....I am a bit wierded out by B10 engine vs instrument panel (IP pin) but should not matter for me....

I thought escalades were AWD not 4WD?
Possible owner swapped things, that might explain the cut/spliced wires..
