Any Suggestions? (2 dr tahoe '99)

Okay, i'm gettin the front end fixed right now..i just bought the hoses for the A/C..so hopefully this weekend i will have the front end fixed completely with new ball berrings, a/c, new windshield wipers, etc..now IF everything goes as planned, i plan on doing one of two things.. 1: i am getting two boxes and 4 twelves to occupy the hoe and rock it loud..OR.. 2: i am gonna run duel flowmasters (2 1/2in with 3in or 4in tips) i'm simply guessing that a good local is going to charge me about 250 to run the duels..so which project should i start investin in first?? The 12's or the Flowmasters??

**PS - the dent and paint is coming last.. so don't hate on THE dent haha

Are you just buying the boxes or are you trying to buy everthing with the $250 (subs,amp(s),boxes, wires)? Cause 250 isnt going to far for all of the things youll need to get bumpin 4 12s. But I personally would start with the system first but thats just me. But if all you have is 250, then I'd buy the exhaust now or save it for the system later.

no no no..the 250 is price for the pipes, the speakers will be MUCH MUCH more..im thinkin 5 maybe 6 hundred on the system, 2 boxes, 4 12's, amps, wires..

Ha my bad I wasnt sure how much your budget was on the audio, but if youre will 5-600 then my votes on that!

keep in mind i need FOUR..im not getting them right this moment but it'll be soon..keep the price out of mind when comparing..both are 1200 watts max, 400 watts rated..which ones would you do if you were putting in 4 ?? and explain why please

Well I've never owned either brands, but I guess the Pioneers because I've heard they are alright.. But I think you'll be more happy with the Kicker CVRs, theyre in the same price range and wattage. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_8363_Kicker+07CVR124.html Sonicelectronix is a pretty good site for audio stuff, almost always has lowest prices and they have almost everything there. That's just my 2 cents but it's all about what you want man

thanks i REALLY like those..with 4, it'd put alot of power on the car battery so i'm definetly going to save up a couple more weeks for the subs, sealed boxes, then lastly an amp... what would push them to sound good?? at a reasonable price

PS would 4 be too much? I DO wanna be heard with some bass to shake the ground..but alot can do that with only 2

Well if you want to be shaking the ground then I'd go 4! And as for the amp I think this Hifonics http://www.amazon.com/Hifonics-Brutus-BXI1610D-D-Class-Amplifier/dp/B001R7XLG0 will do exactly what you need.

I put 2 arc 12's in a custom box (giant) ported and it POUNDED! I head headaches for a few days... So much so that I went for 2 sealed boston 10's (Tons cleaner and more efficient) So imo 2 12's (done right with good power) will do damage! Plus the box for my 12's took almost my whole back end!

2 good 12's sealed box 1000w amp. good enough to make your head hurt. throw a cap. on it and it'll keep your lights from dimming and looking cheap.

FORGET THE SPEAKERS do the exhaust.

thats a hard one... i like a good system but on my list i have exhaust first then system later cuz i need all new speakers and everything so that will cost a lot more than muffler

save your money up and get you some real nice equipment. don't skimp on the amp, get you some real nice amps, even if you have to wait. not saying there's anything wrong with the stuff you're looking at, but if you save up some cash and buy way more amp than you need, good quality stuff, you won't have to upgrade for a long time. i still have some old (prob '97, '98) alpine amps, one of which i've been jamming for like 10 years plus and it's still doing fine. i know i'm showing my age here, starting to give advice and such, but car audio is a terrible investment money-wise, but it is a fun toy. anyhow, if you go buy a $200 amp now, and in a year or so you need more power, or whatever, wanna upgrade, eh, let's say you get $50 bucks for it. do that a few times, and you could've bought you a high quality, overkill amp. now don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with the subs you're looking at, and i'm not pushing alpine or anything. all i'm getting at is if you make smart decisions on the amps and head unit you choose, you can use them for many years. save up your money, get you more amp and headunit than you think you'll need, it'll give you some headroom to move into as you change subs or setups. just my 2 cents. rather see you spend 500, 600 bucks on an amp you will have for 10 years than to see you spend 200 bucks 3 or 4 times and still maybe not be satisfied.
