Oh good sh** the damn thermostat is rated at 185. Might have to run it on a scanner and see what thr actual temp is.
ls will. never run the stat temp. it's on the wrong side of the engine, it's on the cool water inlet side and the temp sensor is in the exit side head.
silly setup, but it works OK. as long as you don't look at the numbers on the stat haha.

When I replaced mine recently my thermo gun read 185 at the thermostat housing but 210* on the dash gauge.
hmm, I'll have to monitor mine and see what it shows i thought mine was running about 195
Do it at idle in driveway not thrust cooling @ 120 mph.

Thecopcar says 210 on the dash, but is steady at 197 on the Scangauge.
I have a obd monitor on my radio I can see actual temp there
it does run around 195, I have monitored it before found pic
