yeah not on the freeway 88 would be almost double in a 45 zone on a curve next to a police station

After thinking about it, I remembered I used an old custom wiring harness that partially worked for my tail light issue. So I'm going to switch back to stock. I'm gonna check the fuse tomorrow and replace the lights as well. Should I disconnect the battery and let everything reset or just swap and see what happens?
id personally just swap the harness and see what happens

One of my rear defrost tabs fell off. I noticed that it was poorly fixed at some point before I owned the truck. I decided to solder it back on but there is nothing left for me to solder to. I found a 2007 Tahoe at a salvage yard and decided to swap out the rear glass as long as it was in good shape. Wife saw me getting the tools out I would need to take the glass off and said she didn't care so much about the rear defrost right now especially since it is summer now. So I took both sets of wires and tucked them up in the liftgate plastic on top for now. I'm sure I should have just gone to the place and grabbed the glass anyways especially if I could get one in good condition for $100 or less. I'm sure I'll be freezing my ass off doing the swap in a few months....

Is there anything that can be done to prevent this from happening or at least prolong the inevitable? Maybe heat up the coiled cord with a heat gun and stretch it to relieve some of the tension on that connection?

After i soldered my pass side back on, i just grabbed both wire coils and stretched them. No heat, no nuthin.. and they stayed...

I used the upfitter plug-in box under the dash next to the brake pedal. See this post for pic and pin-out discriptions.

The narrower .125 female spade connectors slip right onto these pins

The pin labeled ignition will power off when key is turned off. The pin labeled accessory is retained power and will keep power until driver door is opened or 20mins pass.
