Got my subs put in today, cut my bumper and fenders so I don't cut up my 33's while running no lift, and tomorrow I'll put in my Big 4 setup and start thinking about adding my 2nd battery

finished the rear shackle flip and started the front end rebuild. Bushings in all control arms, ball joints, and shocks. What a PITA. Curse the engineer who thought rivets were a good idea on the upper ball joint...

60lbs compression on #6 visible shaking of an internally balanced motor led to a compresion test, pulled the head after a leak down test and found this

Completed my front hub replacement a few days ago. I used Timken hubs. It did not go easy. My bolts were so bad they needed the bolt heads chiseled off and then extracted due to rust deterioration of the bolt head. Only 2 of the total of six (Did both sides) came out clean. I had to pay to get it up on a lift because it was too involved for jack stands. I also had to pay $13 a bolt because I did not have them on hand and had to pay to have them delivered. The good news is that it fixed the problems I was having with wheel movement and the ABS sensor activating when driving low speeds. Now my truck is back to being dependable. I was going to go ahead and change my front oxygen sensors while I was at it but the rust is so bad I had to stop or risk twisting the whole bung out of the exhaust pipe. I guess 173,000 miles of road salt will complicate things. I wish I would have washed the truck more often.

nasty. and a bummer. ringing the whole block or just that one? i seem to notice it appears you also have the wrong coolant in there.
Going to do the whole thing, no reason to half ass it twice. I should have comoression tested on the stand so now its biting me in the ass. I'm not sure if thats rust or left over dexcrap, haven't run it long enough to flush it yet

FInally got my rear end done (shackle flip and new shocks, ubolt flip kit) and the front end (pitman and idler arms, all ball joints, upper and lower control arm bushings, sway bar bushings and link arms and shocks. CV drive shaft comes in tonight and I should be back on the road after an alignment.

measured new and old tie rods and they're close enough to get me down back country oklahoma roads to the alignment shop. I'll wear my seatbelt and go early in the morning so when it falls apart because I forgot to tighten something, I won't hurt anyone else.
