Just wondering. I've always ran 33s and pulled boats, cars, etc and never had an issue. I also have 3.73s. Didn't know it made that big of a deal. I knew these trans weren't very sturdy by any means but didn't know they were that bad. Does your truck have factory transcooler or the aftermarket?

It was rebuilt about 4 years ago with not too many miles. Factory cooler. Yea the gear ratio matters alot. You can feel how sluggish it is with the 33s. I towed another car in town the day before and it was fine just long drive and the oil got hot.. I'm planning on adding the biggest cooler I can find aswell. Gonna get a towing torque converter and stronger bands and clutches. A couple of the hard parts are also gonna get upgraded

I took my Yukon in to have the rear brakes checked. They said they couldn't find any issue and it drove fine. I left there and when I brake above 35mph it now has a shake. I'm confident it is in the rear because the wheel doesn't shake; I can feel it in the seat.

Is there anything they could have done that knocked the drum out of balance or round? I'm thinking of having the drums run on a lathe. Not sure I trust that shop any longer.

Maybe a drum weight fell off.

That's what I'm thinking. I called the local NAPA and they can turn them but said there's nothing that can be done for an out-of-balance drum. The guy seemed to think I was bonkers. Do newer drums not have any weights?

They might be better balanced nowadays or have found a new of balancing by grooving.

Replaced the worn out factory rear shocks, with some stiffer HD shocks. HUGE difference. Gonna do the front ones next month.

i changed my grille, air valance, spark plugs, fuel filter, k & n cold air intake. I should have replaced my plug wires when i did the plugs, but thats for this next coming weekend.

I ordered a new bow tie for the grille, chrome 20x12 hostages with 33" mud grapplers... now i gotta wait for the extra dough to buy that 6" BDS lift. another month out im thinking.

The Yukon is in the shop. New fuel lines at the pump, fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Waiting for the dealer to bring the lines tomorrow.

Put it up for sale. If anyone in the Denver metro area is interested, I'll email the details. I may put in the for sale section later today.
