Thanks Felix. I see the pros and cons as you stated. I think I will have to give this a go before changing out the VCIM.

Faceplant - can you PM me where you picked yours up for so cheap? i found a refurb on amz, but it doesn't say it is compatible with an 07 yuk...

Another plus about BlueFusion is that it will do bluetooth audio... I don't think the VCIM switch can do that...

I wonder if it will stream video to for the rear DVD setup? that would be cool. kids could play angry birds and watch one another on the flip down... or just watch movies from the phone!

The BlueFusion definitely does BT audio, and the quality is amazing compared to other streaming BT devices I have used. Jarthead, I just went on mazon and did a search for the model #. There was one on there for $78 earlier this week, probably still available.

Just purchased a BT VCIM w/ antenna. Should be here in a few days. I'll let everyone know how it turns out. I didn't relize that the phone only showed thru the DIC and not thru the Nav unit. Not real happy about that.

Yes I listed that as one of the con's of the unit. The bluefusion unit uses the nav screen to display the numbers but it has an aftermarket mic you have to run... I hear the clarity over VCIM/factory mic is better though... also BF has bluetooth audio.. something VCIM BT doesn't have : /

I got a Blue Fusion off ebay for $60 and it came in today. Install took less then 2 minutes and it works great. I am an all OEM kinda guy but I decided to try this out since it was so cheap and I think that I am going to stick with this vs. the OEM vcim replacement.

My dad has BlueStar in his Duramax and it works badass but I do not think you can listen to music via bluetooth like the Blue Fusion?

Man if i can find one for 60 i think i'll go the bluefusion route. 250 for the vcim is kinda steep considering you can't do bluetooth audio and you can't view the numbers through the nav screen.

Just installed the BT VCIM. The numbers show on the DIC but options & dial pad show on the nav screen. Sound is crystal clear on both sides. I'm happy with it. No wires or aftermarket mics.

How do you get a dial pad to show on the nav screen??? I don't think I have this...

The key pad came up when I made a voice activated call. I haven't had time to mess with it yet but I assume if you hit the PTT button on the steering wheel it will come up. I ran out of "play" time last night.

No, there is no BT audio. I have my ipod thru the AUX ports when I want to use it. The thought of the aftermarket mic was more of a concern for me.
I watched a you tube video on the scosche unit though and it seems to work great. I think either one is a good choice.

Glad your happy with the VCIM. I agree that both are good choices. I was kinda concerned about running an aftermarket mic (for the Bluefusion) at first, but it was amazingly easy and you can't even see it really.

Hopefully someone whose had both can chime in and tell us if one has an edge over the other. I'm still on the fence as to which one to get...

I don't think you could go wrong with either one. If your looking fo BT audio, go with the Bluefusion. If you don't like it someone will buy it from you.

Agreed. Felix, you should have jumped on that $80 one on Amazon. I just checked and there aren't ANY used for less than $115. I STOLE mine for $50!! :mexsmoke:
