Sorry for the late response. I took my nephew to Monster Jam last night.

Hankook seems to make a good tire. Discount wouldn't sell them if they were garbage. I didn't get to see the specs, because the link didn't work, but if you like them. I'd say go for it. Discount tire has excellent customer service as well. I used to live next to one in Wa. and I've spent more than enough money with them (in Wa. and Fl.). I would reccomend them.

Guess that link was a timed thing. idk.. We just had monster jam a couple weeks ago here. lol. Now we have the motorcross this weekend.

Here are some things i just copied from there.

Hankook Ventus ST RH06
275/45R-20 109V XL B
Warranty 50,000 Miles
Treadwear 420
Traction A
Temperature A
Speed Rating V
Designed specifically for the high performance, luxury SUV market. Controlled footprint shape ensures maximum contact. Remarkable performance and road handling in all weather conditions. Outstanding performance, minimal treadwear, long tread life and a quiet, comfortable ride.

I dont know what any of this means, except the speed rating. Well of course the warranty also. I might try and see if he can get these or those nankang's.

Love my 265/50/20 nitto 420s, great in the rain and they do surprisingly well in the snow.

i forgot about you having 20's also max. Your lower than me. How is the 50 series? Only reason im thinking 45 is b/c im lowered. But its not rubbing now at all, just fills the wheel wells. I like the bigger sidewall though. But 45 might make the rims look bigger. lol.

The V (in "109V") is your speed rating, which is decent. 50K mi warranty is impressive. The 420 is the treadlife rating (The higher, the better). I believe A is one of the better temp ratings (can't remember). Speed we covered. V=149 mph max speed for extended periods.

Thanks chip. I appreciate your help on this. I just dont want to spend money i dont really have on junk tires. So those sound like decent tires then i guess. The hankooks. 150mph, yeah not happening.. lol
I still have to see about the nankang tires. Are they called nankang sunny's? Think i may be asking about all these, the hankooks, nitto420, and nankang

Glad to help. I know how you feel! Believe me. That's why I learned in the first place. Shit was redicculous. When you know what you're looking at, you start to see how bad some places **** people on tires. I suggest everyone learn. It could save you a lot of money.

Nankang and Sunny are 2 completely different manufacturers as far as I know. I've never run Sunnys, but my Nankangs are impressive for what they cost. I don't autocross my truck, but I'm not afraid to get down either....and these tires have done work all the while. They're wearing nicely too. I truly have no complaints so far.

The Hankooks sound good. Last I checked, Nitto made some great rubber for pretty cheap (I may be out of touch on them though).

What size do you want?

On those nankangs i meant one of them says sunny. Which ones should i ask for. This is whats on discount.
Nankang N-101
Nankang N-870
Nankang N-890

Nankang N990
Nankang Sunny SN3980
Nankang Truck Radial,

I have nittos on my gto, they are good. Think im going to ask about all 3, nankangs, nittos, hankooks. See what he has and what he can do.

For size, well im lowered, right now it has 285/50's and they are fine, doesnt rub at all. Size is fine, just hard to find for some reason at least to me. for a decent price anyway. So im thinking 275/45 seems to be easier to find and plenty to choose from.

I'll be damned! Nankang might make Sunny. I don't know. I just checked. I have the "NS ALL SPORT". Call David at AK tires (727) 571-1484. Tell him Chip (with the Yukon) told you to call him and ask him what he would charge you for a set (shipped). He might be cheaper than anyone you know. He can probably tell you more about the Nankang/Sunny thing too.

He's here in Fl. Getting tires installed is easy. Just take them to any tire shop and pay them to put em on. You should be able to get em all on for under $40

Paint the lip area between the spokes first (but not the spoke area of the lip). See how it looks.

Check out treadepot.com.

I have the cooper discoverer H/T plus that`s on the top of this list in a 275/55/20

http://www.treadepot.com/tirelist.html?quickfind=2754520

It`s one of the best all around tires i`ve ever had. Great ride and they`re quiet, I have about 10k on them and they look like the day i mounted them. They also balanced very easily. I mount and balance my own tires and always use weights on the inside of the wheel only because i hate the look of them on the outside and it scratches the wheels too and with crappy tires that doesn`t always work.

You can`t beat this tire for the price.
