Awesome, thanks for the details. I assume those shops are down near the seacoast?

Im up near Lebanon, and am still looking for a good/reasonable speed shop and/or a place that can fine-tune BBPs on a dyno or road-tune.

I get that G80s aren't regarded for performance stuff, but I don't hear about them exploding as much as Internet-lore suggests. Your rug is gonna rip after the upgrade.
Prince Transmissions is in Hudson, just east of Nashua. Go Auto is in Nashua, a little less than 1 hour from Lebanon.

Yeah, I would not have changed from the G80 myself, but the Mechanic was persuasive, particularly when my thrill is going from light to light quickly.

i've roasted at least 4/5 g80's naturally aspirated, the AWD 40/60 split seems to give them a little more life but that's about it

Where are we getting a posi carrier that fits the 14 bolt? I couldn’t find anything that showed to fit these trucks last time I looked.

Why do I have a feeling a solid sphere of inconel would only survive about a half an hour when you're at you finest?
Maybe if gm used some high quality bearings things would last longer but they want you to buy another one when the warranty runs out, I like to keep mine a lot longer.
All the broken stuff did was lead me to have it upgraded.
truth is everything in my life needs to be heavy duty, I am just too rough on everything.
I had to learn how to ease up on the pedal a little bit and not slam the door so hard it breaks the speaker and panels off
that and I am a little bit tall & clumsy so anything below the knees might get smacked or stepped on including small children or animals
can't have glass coffee tables those are shin breakers
and I don't know why but i have had to replace every electrical socket and light switch in the house, cabinets and drawers too. the silverware drawer I had to do this
I have 4 other drawers that need the same treatment

2wd escalades or denali's is one source
***edit

Is it bad when a transmission shop tells you they have never seen a transmission break like that before? Wish I had kept pictures...
There is a first time for everything, my Friend. It seems like you have cornered the market on first time breaks. LOL

Meanwhile I'm under 8inches of Snow.
I hate you. lol
It snowed 6" of the heavy stuff here yesterday, on top of whatever was left from the last storm. I really need to get some more weight in the bed of the plow truck... Even with studded Nokians all around, Plowy McPlowFace has a lot less grip than my Yukon in 4wd.

It's nice having a plow truck for a long driveway, but sucks at clearing the circle/turn-around. I wish I had a SxS or tractor to make the tight radius.

oddly enough I don't mind the snow, I haven't always lived here. But this constant dark grey cloud cover makes the entire day like dusk/dawn all day.
no sun, no rain, just stays the same temp day & night.
There is no snow in the mountains (that I could see), maybe up at like 8,000ft there might a little bit, we probably won't have any for at least another month
even the famous Donner pass has no snow right now, It will get around 16ft+

basically right now the weather is flipped it should be 60-70 here and 40's or less in the mountains, but a high pressure system has the cold air trapped in the valley
we might get a break next week

Less dense fluids will sit on top of more dense fluids.

It's how all the cool mixed drinks are created at the bar. Look up pics of an "alien brain hemorrhage"

I’d toss a low mile trans or rear axle on my shoulder, then put some of the smaller random items I need in my left hand to counterbalance the weight. 60’ is doable for $60.

So cold the ice forms ice on the gate headed out to my barn.

I’m sorry. Did you guys say something about snow and cold weather. I couldn't hear you sissy’s complaining over the sound of my shovel scooping 400lbs of frozen tears off the back deck.

Also, I just bought another Denali. 2013 w/ 53k miles, clean title, no flooding/storm damage, solid body (no rust - like we have in the northern rustbelt). Only issue I have is that it’s a RWD. I would have much rather preferred an AWD, but for the price it was worth the purchase.

Story number two needs its own damn post (probably it’s own thread), because it still has me shaking my head; wondering - how much differently ‘we’ think, compared to those who've never done any work on their own vehicles.
