As others have said, the PS one just sees compression (even in reverse!).

Reverse is different. While the motor is torquing the same way, the driveshaft is torquing the other direction.
I'm confident only because.. I recently saw a video of motor mount testing, in both forward and reverse. :p

But it would make sense if engine was isolated from transmission?
Corvette's with torque tube to transaxle?

If the transmission cross-member mount is good, then there shouldn't be much reverse-flex of the engine mounts, right?

Also Getting ready for my junkyards annual 60 for 60 sale. Anything you carry 60 ft is yours for 60 bucks.
Gonna try to get the rest of the Denail stuff and maybe a new tailgate if they have a white one.

Bring some friends with tools, and if you find a 6.2 you can bust it apart. I could pick up the iron 6.0 block, and probably move it 60ft in one go, so the aluminum one should be easier. All the other parts are totally doable. You could have that sucker for under $500.

If the transmission mount could prevent twisting in reverse, then it would prevent twisting in forward gears too.
I'm sure it helps, but not sure how much.

Apparently reverse ratio is 3.064, so between 1st (4.027) and 2nd (2.364) gear ratios.

Those 6.2s will be long gone before I am able to get there. Theres people that wait all year for this sale and have every single tool ready. I've seen them make their own engine stands to carry it the 60 ft. They have about 7 6.2 getting ready to be out for the Day. I'm eyeballing 3 Denalis for the their trim pieces lol.
We've stuck around after we got our stuff and watched a monster of a man deadlift a 6.2 and carried it the entire way and got a fully dressed engine for 60 bucks lol

My List.
Esky Taillights and Harnesses
Tahoe Taillights
Denali Roof Rack
Running Boards
Tailgate (If in white)
Rear bumper trim.

I'd think that be worth the 60 bucks

At my local LKQ an entire engine with 90 day warranty is only $600. It's not worth the $100 to pull it apart in the yard.

Hmm...maybe you're right. I've never actually looked. It does make sense when you consider the engine and transmission are rigidly connected and act as one (structurally speaking). There would be some torque reaction from the engine when its accelerating. But the torque reaction from the driveline is probably significantly higher, and would increase faster due do the gear reduction in the transmission. Boy to I feel dumb for my earlier statement!

Heck I thought you were on to something, and had to think it through also :p

I was like 'wait a minute'.... 'but oh yeah'.... 'am I sure?'..... 'oh yea the video'.
And think it through again once or twice to make sure I didn't totally forget something in that two step process.

Removed the ancient dinosaur vintage BlackVue DR-400G-HD dash cam that I installed in 2012 and replaced it with a VIOFO A329S 3CH dash cam system today. Thank heavens for YouTube and a very old thread from this forum dealing with a location to hook up the dash cam accessory wire.

On a side note, my 2010 Chevy Tahoe has around 24,500 miles on it and that's not a typo.

Hey guys. If I leave the key on for 10 minutes I get a battery low message. I see the battery go from 12.2 to 11.5 in that 10 minutes. It only rebounds to 11.6 in ten minutes after that. I noted a slower than usual crank the other day and slow retract on my running boards. Is this one year old interstate taking a crap?

You want more positive caster in your wheel alignment. I like a .4 degree spread between sides with the right having more. Mine was last set at 3.7 and 3.9 degrees. I liked it a little better at 3.2 and 3.6 for the spread.

You don't go to just any alignment tech and specify this as most are only trained to put it in the green and send it. You'll want to vet a couple of places, tell them exactly what you want and get before and after readings if you decide to do this. I went to my local dealer where the tech was an expert on our cars and had been on the job for over 20 years, a professional.

Traded a set of Magnaflow Mufflers for this brush guard. We have no idea what its off of but i think i can make it work for Betty. Really just gonna use it for running Offroad lights. I do alot of nighttime driving in deer country so more light is welcomed.
Thinking of having the top bar just above the GMC. Makes routing wiring easier.
Gonna put some 4-5 inch Round LEDS on the bottom bar and perhaps some amber markers on the top..still undecided.

12.2V is already low for resting voltage. 12.8V is where it should be.

unless you have a pretty big drain on the battery for that 10mins, it sounds like it. worth getting load tested.

Or your battery cables are rotting, or you have a corroded/loose cable connection.
