Question: I have heard some people say that a car sitting too long in a hot place like Midlothian could end up with issues to the fuel injectors. Has anyone heard or experienced this?

When the engine is running is the engine bay hot?
To answer your question no just sitting in Midlothian will not ruin the fuel injectors because it's hot. Lol.

But it could gum them up if the fuel contained in the rail began to age, etc, correct? Although, at least the fuel in the rail is not exposed to the environment.

They don't have much gas in them. And gas doesn't break down as fast as some may think.

I think passenger vehicle powertrains are much better at dealing with this than small engines typically used for yard work.

We ordered our 22 Tahoe in March of 22 and it was built in Arlington in May of 22 and delivered three days later. They were very hard to get at the time. Our large dealer did not have any on the lot at the time of the order and guided us not to order the top of the line since he had a back order of 80 high end Tahoes so we wound up ordering the mid level model. All this is by way of trying to understand that there were lots of Tahoes sitting in a lot while we waited 6 weeks to get one built?

22 Z71 Built May 17, 22 and delivered January 5, 23. No tire issues but my detailer and the PPF installer complained how hard it was to remove the residue from the protective white film applied to certain areas at the factory.

Having similar issues, 2nd and 3rd row seats vibrate above 35, dealer has rotated and balanced tires 3 times( supposedly) they sai could be bad tires, so I said ok, replace them, said I have to take up with tire manufacturer, I said no, should be covered by GM, even showed them in the manual where that is stated, again they said have to go through manufacturer, so now I have a case opened with GM, we shall see, this is one of several issues that are ongoing, so glad I paid $80,000 for this thing, my 2008 town and country rides better.

Cars sitting on dealer lots is nothing new. My CTS-V sat for over 1 year. Tires were fine, and still are till this very day.

My 2022 Tahoe 3.0 was built in May of 2022 and finally was able to take delivery 2 weeks ago. Sitting in Texas for the last 7 months I had my worries about the paint condition and tires (flat spots). My concerns were validated upon delivery.

-Paint was already swirled from being washed with all the dirt and plenty of hard spots - see BadPaint.jpeg
-3 inch bird crap burn on the roof - see birdpoop.jpeg
-Thumping and shimmy at 45-80 mph.

Purchasing dealer offered to buff the paint, I didn't want them to make things worse and took it some someone that actually knows paint and does high end ceramic coatings on everything from $300k boats to Lambos. Still waiting on the solution for the roof paint. It was my coating guy that found it. Was a PDI even done on this?

Purchasing dealer rebalanced tires and sent me on my way saying the thump and shimmy was gone. Clearly wasnt so I took it to another dealer down the road. Other dealer quickly identified all 4 tires failed a road force test. Spec is under 23 for said test, some were as high as 70! 4 new tires (warranty) and I finally have a smooth ride.

Moral of the story for those that have been waiting for your vehicle sitting in the Texas field for months. Demand new tires and a flawless paint job on delivery.

Also posted a photo after 25 hours of paint correction and ceramic coating. Looks great now.
Hard to believe GM would do something like this, I would never have taken delivery so you are a brave soul
