Might check out an '05 2500 suburban, what to look for?

The BAD: Front headliner coming apart! Don't know how I didn't really notice it earlier.. Sunroof shade liner also sagging. Don't think I will re-use any of it, rather look for replacements or just gut the headliner and maybe carpet because of odors. While smells might not be super terrible, it's enough to bother me, and I would prefer a metal interior that doesn't smell. (But will miss insulation). Dash lighting sometimes fluctutes, light sensor or switch issue? (When I move headlamp switch to off position, the cluster dims) Also noticed third ding on body.

The 'good': Drove the 13 miles home, oil pressure, coolant and trans temps looked good. Seemed to shift alright, biggest drivetrain clunk I have noticed is when I let off the brake from a stop. Engine seemed smooth. AC works, and all the windows.. So far all the controls/motors seem to work. I do like how the 6.0 feels and overall how the truck feels relatively solid.
4wd works.

I won't be surprised if I need front wheel bearings, and brakes squeaky after awhile, which I did not notice first drive..

Pics later today.
find a headliner shop there should be a couple around sac, those guys do magic
carpet kits are usually around $350 or so

Nice! cant wait to see some more pics of that beast. I had no idea these things were so sought after. EPA lists them as getting 10mpg city and 15mpg hwy. If its Flex fuel I would run E85 in that thing all the time.
I used to average about 16MPG on the highway with mine. 3.73 gears. It was great highway cruiser.

Don't know how sought after they actually are, older ones don't go for much.. Impulse buy for the most part...
Should have probably been more patient, but I get tired of looking..

Maybe I will have headliner recovered someday. Airing truck out for now.
Cooling system overhaul and fluids and registration first I guess.. Will add up quick!

3 manifold bolts missing, front and back of driver, one in the back middle of passenger side..

The onstar turned on and kept talking, I don't know which button, but thankfully could turn volume down.
Between that and the auto door locks.. I hate it! My heart is still racing..
I've been going through vehicle settings, but the one button to scroll is iffy, have to press it just right.

Going to keep it for a hauler, and maybe it'll grow on me..
But I can't let myself sink too much into this. Gotta take it slow, getting difficult to justify the cost of keeping this bus..

Original Ts, Will have to baseline this still, but I'm not feeling good about the electronics. (unplugged INFO fuse, seems to have quieted the voices)
Typical wiring loom conduit deterioration.
