External cooler cools more than the in-rad cooler. If it went into the external cooler first, then to the rad cooler, the trans fluid would get heated back up. Also, the rad cooler cools it first so the external cooler has less heat to remove, making it work even better.

Thinking odd because i have an overheating issue with my vette due to a high stall converter and possibly weak single electric fan that was OEM.
I have it piped to go to the radiator first, and then the external cooler.
Been thinking about reversing that to remove heat before it goes into the radiator to see if it helps on hot days.
I also have a large capacity radiator that helped it a little, but it needs more for sure.

The Magnuson isn't designed to use the factory air box?

I have the Corsa intake which I guess is also sold as volant, and the way that air box was designed I could have left the factory intake tube if you wanted to do that for some weird reason.
And since the Whipple is designed for the factory air box, I've seen other people able to use the Whipple intake tube right into their Corsa intake box.

I'm hoping that's true by the time I put it on.

Should scream pretty damn good

Whipple supplied a tube to attach to the factory air box so I had to buy a used factory air box. Isn’t the Magnuson tube designed the same way? They I just did the mod to enlarge the fender side where it draws air in.

Edit: sorry for multiple posts but my notifications stopped again so I’m playing catch up.

The volant version can have an air scoop attached to the bottom to grab air from under the bumper on the pickups. Wonder if it would work on the wagons?

it's a pioneer nav unit, in the nav settings there is a setting to record drive data, then after (or during) a drive the data is shown under the "useful information" tab.
Did you have to plug anything in the OBD port for the HU to show that data?

Have you ever looked inside the fender below that hole for the airbox? That area is kind of closed off and has a few louvers punched into the sheet metal. 20200314_211025.jpg
