I know,I actually had to ask an employee where the old work stuff is and he said “ well it’s supposed to be this whole area here if we had any but it looks like we don’t”.
I can see the manager at the plant saying “well we’re at half production so let’s just stop making stuff for remodels. They don’t need extra outlets and stuff, but new construction has to carry on”.

You don't use these kinds of fixtures for old work low voltage?

I did for an interior wall but wanted a full box for this exterior wall so I could keep it from letting so much air through. I plan on adding spray foam to the inside of it to seal it up. My house has enough cold air drafts as it is. Might be a hair brained idea but what the hell.

There’s a lot of stuff that I can’t find in my local stores lately. I went to Ace Hardware yesterday to buy an old work electrical box so I can add a cable outlet in my MBR and they were out of almost all electrical boxes so I thought, no biggie I’ll go to Home Depot where they have a huge inventory. I’m standing there looking and I see zero old work boxes- no singles, doubles, triples, deep, shallow…the entire area where they were supposed to be was empty. I pulled out my phone and ordered a set of 3 (couldn’t buy a single) from Amazon. It will be here today. They’re the only retailer that seems to be keeping everything in stock. As I was walking out of HD, I went by the construction adhesive section and it was empty as well, and there were several people on phones calling their bosses to tell them. I see Amazon has it in stock.

I’ll never go to Wal Mart, can’t stand that store. So many unsettling people in their stores in my part of the woods plus they’re always super crowded.

Found out my four wheel drive is inoperative. Front axle wont engage. Transfer case shifts into all modes and ranges.
When in 4HI and with one front wheel off the ground I can turn it. Drive shaft doesn’t turn so I suspect the actuator or shift fork mechanism. Checked with the tech2 and the truck believes all is well with no codes anywhere and everything seems to respond correctly.

probably the front actuator, you can unscrew it and test it visibly, it's possible if it hasn't been used that it is just lazy/stuck, not sure what you could do to "fix" it but it's certainly easy to replace.

Thats what I figure it is. Shop floor is all wet now and the Mrs needs me today.
