Have you looked at the harness? it says shorted or open, check the harness pins and wires, it used to be pretty common for the passenger seat wire to break on the gmt800's from the seat moving back n forth.

It says position sensor, not occupancy sensor like the passenger side. I wonder if it determines the distance from the airbag to the driver so it times the deployment accordingly.

Yup, did all that a few times. It’s currently at the dealership, they did the same
It looks like it’s mounted on the seat rail and determines if the seat is forward of a certain point. Should be easy to replace if you pull the seat.

After talking to the dealership again. I got the part number. It’s def not the bladder. It’s exactly the part @George B mentioned.
whats the part number?

Is my 2013 suburban subject to the steering shaft clunk issue. I have a light clunking when turning the wheel. Searching didn’t result in much info. Is there a lower column bearing?

Had to replace the lift support on the gate. After a Google search i decided to replace the gate and rear glass with strong arm supports. Best replacement so far. The generic supports i had for the rear glass would give out below 62°. Always had to hold the glass up with my head. Now the glass stays up so far even at 52° and i have to apply a good amount of pressure to close it
I bought a string of 150-200 LEDs, and painstakingly wrapped, and ziptied them to all the necessary areas. Was a royal PITA.Yeah, i need to get this done sooner than later.
Hard part is it looks like i need to find an existing set that will work, and then wire and trim them up so they work with the deer and don't look like ass.
I have a net light set that looks like it might be a good donor, just looks like a massive pita.
And something i have been putting off for some time now.
What did you use for your little deer?
That’s just a little less than the $1000 the dealer wanted to install one. I mean, $800 for the install? WTF.
