That’s what the radiator is for. But it will be fun cleaning them out of that mesh, that’s for sure.

Around here driving with expired plates is almost the norm. Hell, I see at least a dozen cars every day with expired plates, and not just a couple months expired, but years. It's like a game my wife and I play, who can spot the most expired plate. I'm in the lead with Dec 2018

I get the new stickers but always forget to put it on. When I moved to NH, I pulled my trailer up behind the Tahoe and somewhere in Northern Virginia, I noticed the sticker on the trailer plate was dated Jul2018. Glad the registration was in the console but no issues finishing the trip!

My plate is fine, it's just my inspection sticker (on the lower left corner of the windshield) that expires. You just reminded me that some states, or maybe it's every inspecting state other than Louisiana, ties the plate registration with the inspections. It's two separate things here. Some plates can get a 2- or 4-year registration. Also, depending on the car, you can buy a 2-year inspection sticker. So, for an extra $15, your car can be emissions-compliant and safe (brakes, lights, etc.) for a whole extra year. It's clearly a money racket.

Apparently, as I have recently learned, is the same here. You dont need to have the inspection for registration renewal. All seems clumsy to me but whatever. Still havent done the inspection for the truck-actually, for none of our vehicles.

dead bugs, cig butts, leaves, and rock impacts.

should help keep crud from building up in there and clogging everything up.

I also fear that it will freeze up during a snow storm.
Shouldn't matter too much, but only time will tell how it works out.

with the tow package trans cooler bypassed, I also found my condenser is pretty plugged up in that area.

tried blowing it out with compressed air, but it's packed in there!
Finally got the bright idea to use a fine pick to knock it through.

Helped a bit.
I also straightened out a bunch of fins in the front of it.
Lots of impacts!!

I'm surprised my AC worked as good as it did.

I managed to loose one...


I forgot it fell and took the hoe for a drive during testing, it's gone now.
I also lost a very cheap screw driver.

Anyone have the part # for the rubber weather seal that encircles the drivers door opening? Mines starting to get a bit worn/ripped on the bottom right where your feet move when getting in/out of vehicle.

Not in too bad shape currently, but just want to find the part so I'll have it when needed.

I managed to loose one...


I forgot it fell and took the hoe for a drive during testing, it's gone now.
I also lost a very cheap screw driver.

Just go to any auto parts store and they sell variety packs with several sizes in the Dorman Help section where the door clips and such are.

I got into theothertwin to make a grocery run. On starting I hear a squeal then a slight bump. I’m guessing the belt slipped then caught. So stopped to get a new Gates belt on the way.

the old belt looks pretty decent, although I’ve never seen the Bando brand before. I changed it anyway since I don’t know the age. Based on the angle of the tensioner with the new belt I’ve guessing the other one had stretched some.

My gates green has about 50k's...but because of the trans tune, let's out a squeak during the 1-2, 2-3.

could be the ac pump as well, keep an eye on it that's one of the things it will do before it gives up the ghost. If you start hearing what sounds like nuts and bolts being eaten by a blender that's another sign.

In my experience, Bando is good stuff. I had never heard of them until around 2006-7. I was guinea-pigging for a small supercharger company and one issue we kept having was the belt exploding. No burrs on any pulleys and, with the way it was set up, the alignment had to be perfect or the belt would immediately run off an idler. I went to a local specialty belt store and they gave me a Bando. I didn't change anything other than the brand of belt and it never happened again.

I'll pm you if i can't find any locally.

And I do plan on replacing the radiator, until then I'm running with that bypassed.
I'm pretty sure the new radiator won't have the little GM ports installed (I'm looking at an upgrade 2 or 3 row).

I'm also thinking about replacing the OEM "tow package" cooler in front of the radiator for good measure.
That comes with the little e-clips.
