Looking to buy a MPVI 2+ To start getting ready for a forced induction LS and 4l80e swap in my 05 z71. But trying to decide if I buy the pro features also

Never mind guys. One of the guys at the shop the does both EFi live and ** tuners told me to stay away from the pro upgrade. So I bought the basic MPVI 2+ and going to start there.

Curious- what was his reasoning to stay away from the Pro upgrade?

pretty much, its probably not needed - but first thing people add is a wideband o2 usually.
i havent looked at a mpvi2 but it looks like the "pro" features can be added later for, might cut a small deal ordering the mtogether to begin with. on the mpvi1 the "pro" interface is a completely different interface not an add on - meaning if you bought the base, and wanted to go pro you had to buy a whole new interface
wouldnt worry about adding pro now either unless you plan on putting on external sensors

The guy on site went to the hpt class they had in St. Louis and said you could still add a wide band to the 2+ to data log (IDK for Im still learning this stuff). Once I add a turbo to this turd I’ll add the pro fretures to it if needed.
