Did you try those O2 sensors out?
I just got mine today, denso marked
Seems ok there, but the pn on the box looks weird.
And the sensors don't have the expected little plastic protective cap.

If i were to guess, these are fakes.
I thought the same thing so I ordered a set from RA and another from Autozone. The difference is the packaging between ACDelco (ACD# 214-4229) and Denso (GM# 12609457). While they both are listed on the box and cross reference with each other, they are packaged differently and in different boxes.

Or I’m wrong and Rock Auto is selling fake parts as well. I was shocked that all three sets that I ordered none of the sensors came wrapped up or “safely” wrapped, instead they all were shipped bouncing around in the boxes they were packaged in. Only the one ACDelco set from Autozone had caps on the ends. I know some models of ACD have boots on the threads and not the end, which is odd to me as well. Why not cover them both and/or wrap the sensors in some packaging paper?

Get them from 3rd party on Amazon?

Sold by: Amazon.com Services LLC

I wouldn’t have bothered with a 3rd party seller and they weren’t the only ones with a price that good or better, but they had prime shipping.
Now if they would have been half the cost or showed up smelling funky or in the wrong packaging w/ numbers not jiving, then I would have been even more suspect. But after the RA and Autozone ones show up looking the exact same (just costing $20 more from AZ) who do you then trust or not trust?

Mine always came just naked in the box but the last ones were Bosch. I don’t know if I’ve ever bought ACDelco ones.

I’ve been running the ModTCM. I’m going to service my trans this weekend with new solenoids, filter, fluid, shift solenoids, hd separator plate, Torlon check balls, pinless pistons, corvette servo, 4th super servo, and I got a new trans pan with drain plug. I’ll try the SportTCM and see what happens
Are you running the B&M deep pan?

I got four new ACDelco O2 sensors from RA a while back. They came in Delco packaging but no extra padding inside. The sensor ends all had anti seize, all four rattled around big time inside their box. Two were Hencho en Mexico, two unmarked to their origin.

02 sensors always come loose in a box or a bag, I don't think they are subject to vibration or drop damage I believe the core sensor portion inside the metal housing is ceramic of some type. Gm changes part numbers and packaging at the drop of a hat, the dealer can see all the "superseded" by numbers on there computer.

All standard O2 sensors I've ever bought were packaged like this. The only ones I've seen that had protective caps were the wideband models that came with the 2 wideband systems I've purchased over the years.
