You know how the lid slides off the hinge when opened fully, I wonder if it could be modified to allow it to slide off when at a lower point.

Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

I used that lid removal feature to my advantage when I built my console for thecopcar. The cans are spaced just right that any one lid can be removed if I need to without disturbing anything else.

Got done with the installation of a Tru-Cool 40k tranmission fluid cooler - it's a monster. Also plumbed in an ARB compressor in the front driver side battery tray since it was sitting empty. Air for tires no matter where I am now.

I'll try to remember to make some pix tomorrow in the daylight.

How is the view while driving any better or worse?
My wife thinks it’s better. I have not had a chance to take it out in the road yet, but if momma’s happy, that’s a win for me, especially since she is convinced that any thing LED is inferior when it comes to light bulbs on the house or in a vehicle. So if she says it’s better, then that’s a great sign.

So maybe you could say she saw the light? ;)

Yeah! That’s it!

Honestly, with everything going on with my mother in law passing, tomorrow is her visitation and burial, and my daughters birthday, and me going on a 4 hr round trip to get Joseph’s donor truck, it just has not been a high priority to take the Yukon out. I will be sure to post my opinion once I do take it out at night.

Shucks...I always hope for a miracle until the last second. Sorry to hear this bad news. I was with my sister when she took her last breath and kept hoping for a miracle up until that point.

I’ve decided to take pictures of each maintenance/repair/mod made from now on for documentation to the CarFax app when I go and sell (a little late at 140,000+ miles, but will continue this for each new vehicle I own).

I started with the Transfer Case fluid change tonight...

Hang in there, man. Life can get overwhelming sometimes. I'm in the same boat. My MIL is about to pass from stage 4 renal failure. Everything sorta gets put on hold. I got motor mounts, manifold bolts, an OEM wing and a catch can ready to go on. But I can't tear into much until we get past this. Stay strong for your family. Hug-em while you got-em.

EDIT: and this morning when I left for work, it felt like one of the e-brake shoes was stuck. So there's that.

Finally getting around to replacing the door seals (weatherstripping) pretty easy job. Summit Racing carries an aftermarket option that’s 1/2 the price of oem gm. Paid 78.00 total for both door seals and free shipping after spending 100.00

And then there’s this I’ve run a Sony RSX-GS9 hi res music media player for 4 years. Amazing Sound Quality but using my iPhone for screen display and maps finally beat out pure SQ.

I swapped it out for a Kenwood 1057XR with the 10.1” floating touchscreen. Best touchscreen out imo. There’s zero glare from any direction, 1280 x 700 pixels full 13 band eq for anyone not running a Dsp and will play my hi res audio files. Very happy with it so far.

the only thing that has held me back from getting one is the lack of usb ports or usb hub integration with the vehicle. 1 usb port is pretty sad for a $1000+ headunit, how hard is it to access the sd card slot?
