OK, I got one coming, should be here Wednesday. Like $12, I have just doubled my investment in OBDII tools. :)

Sure hope my ODBII scan tool doesn't fry my Range dongle.. :0

I have a Y cable and a Blue Diamond scanner. I don't know if it will check the readiness side of things.

On my scanner, it has an icon in the home page called Emissions Tests (with an Erlanmeyer flask shaped symbol). On others I have seen, they have a test called I/M status, I/M Readiness or just Readiness Status.

Was that taken right after you removed the AFM device or after three or four short trips after you removed the dongle?

If it was right after you took it out, it looks like you are ready as soon as you pull it. It looks like you only have one readiness flag for the evap and I think in most states, they allow one readiness flag to be set. At least that is what one of the ODBII .org sites said.

SMH there is a smog check function. Here’s what I have.

device has only been in place a short time and 2-3 cold starts.
