It's a good thing to have a wife who enjoys your company enough to want you around. I have that too, and so the work on the trucks happens when I can get to it. Sometimes she comes out and helps, just to be together.

She must really love you!

lol, I've had nights like that.....

A few years back my wife helping me work on the mustang. The first pic she was doing something with the trans or bellhousing bolts. The second pic was a few days later and when I was getting ready to put the motor/trans into the car and she was underneath to help guide the trans tailshaft housing.

That’s awesome!

My wife hasn’t helped me on the cars so much but she has been by my side on many a house projects from building a new front porch, tearing off and putting on shingles and remodeling a bedroom. Love that time together working side by side.

Yeah, we're both into cars. That's her black mustang behind her in the pic. It's lowered, 4r70w auto with 4.10 gears, built 8.8 rearend with moser axles and 3" studs all around so she can run her Prostars when at the track, custom tune, larger intake and throttle body. Runs 13.1@105. Not that fast by todays standards, but she's been doing this since about 2004 and it gives her something to do when I have my car at the track

My daughter and I finally finished installing GMs 2-Way Advanced Remote Start ourselves. Well, we had to call ACDelco's tech line for help once but we didn't have to go to the dealer! Works great and is pretty nifty for 2009 vintage technology. Those with Onstar 9 (2010+) can get these features in their phone through Onstar.

Yes, the kit also comes with a new Remote Control Door Lock Receiver Module and the long range antenna, which we attached to the side glass in back on the driver's side.

Out of curiosity, does the RCDLR still work with standard key fobs?

I would assume so.

I am more interested in the extended range than anything else.

Monday, I went to do a side job and hauled my neighbor's welder. It's one of those diesel-powered welder/power plant machines on it's own trailer from an equipment rental place.

Averaged 20MPG at 70MPH towing it and with a few hundred pounds of tools in the cargo hold:

Also hit 204,000 miles. Oil change coming up in 1,000:

Yesterday, when checking under the hood while refueling, I saw that I had already began performing the slow coolant delete mod:

I was headed into town for a last-minute Christmas gift, and I still had plenty of coolant, so I pressed on lightly to keep the RPM low to minimize pressure in the system. What normally would've been an hour trip took almost four hours due to traffic. It did fine.

Ironic... I too noticed a very very small leak that appears to be coming from the top of the driver side of the radiator end tank.

Been looking at radiators but haven't decided on which one I will go with.

It is so minor it will probably be a while.

Yes!

The novelty of checking the fuel level and air pressure in the tires from the remote will be short lived I think! Visual confirmation that I locked it up for the night and the extended range especially is where our interests lay as well.

You looking at factory replacements or aftermarket ones? Unless there's an upgraded one (factory or aftermarket) that's a direct replacement for my factory original and for a reasonable cost, I'm just gonna get what lasted 200K miles. I haven't even begun trying to pin down a part number yet.

We're taking the Tahoe today to dinner at my brother's house 30 minutes away since we gotta haul large Christmas gifts. I'm confident it'll be fine.

How much did it weigh?

Do our radiators have the plastic end tanks that are crimped onto the ends with those aluminum tabs?
