New Moog CK series upper and lower control arms, outer tie rod ends and SKF X-tracker Hybrid wheel hubs installed and the new polyurethane bushing upgrade kit installed on the steering rack.

Noticed a leak on one of the power steering lines so they will all get replaced.

New 305/40/22 Michelin tires and front end alignment done.

261,361 miles.

305 tires rub the wheel well liners slightly under certain conditions. Will have to massage the liners a little more.

My 14 yr old son is becoming quite the mechanic with my supervision since I am not able to do as much as I used to.

how are you that low and only rub "under certain conditions"? When I had my 07 I had to replace my inner fender liners about every 18 months or so because they would rub under every condition other than going straight :happy175:

I heated the plastic liners with a heat gun and massaged them when I first lowered it.

I did the "Norcal SS" front fender mod, where you beat back the lower portion of the wheel well at the firewall.

I also rolled the front fender lips the old school way with a pipe on the tire.

I just need to go back in and tweak everything a little more, hopefully.

I really wanted to stick with the 285/40 that I was running because I had zero rubbing issues but Michelin doesn't offer that size and I wanted to try the 70k mile rated Michelin tires this time.

Michelin offers a 295/40/22 but they were $200+ MORE PER TIRE than the 305/40/22s.

I have no idea why the 295/40 is so much more expensive.

hey @kbuskill , you seem to be good at locating weird stuff :D

im looking for like 30A or 40A relay with a time delay off preferably for 5 blade base.... found some that hella makes but theyre only rated 10A. basically i would like to trigger my big fuel pump but not have it chatter if its right on the edge of engaging. if it triggers on it stays on for 30sec or something to that effect

Just off the top of my head without searching specifically for something rated at 30-40A I would say that you could probably use something like the DEI 611T to trigger a 30-40A relay.

It has many different features and can act as a timer.

I can try looking for something for you with a higher rating later on.

Why not put the latching relay on the trigger side rather than the load side? There are countless 5A-10A universal timers for $5+

I see that DEI one is out of stock, but similar (in function) timers are on Amazon, ebay, etc.:

its just added points of failure...the hobbs switch isnt that great of a solution to begin with, then im going to add a delay off timer to the control circuit, to control the fuel pump relay.
i've caught it a few times WOT and the pump wants to cut in and out so i'm iffy about relying on how its set up - ive got somewhat of override switch i try and hit everytime i know im going to beat on it but sometimes i forget

Oil change.

I went with Mobil Delvac Extreme 15w40 this time to see if I like it any better than the Mobil 1 5w30 EP. It is a full synthetic diesel oil and should do very well for my extended OCIs. Spoke with Blackstone and they thought it would be a fine choice.

Sent off the oil sample to Blackstone to see how the last OCI went using the Fram Ultraguard synthetic filters.

I will post results after I get the report back.

I am thinking of sending off a sample of the Delvac Extreme to get a VOA done on it to see where the numbers start off. Hate to spend the $ on it but I am very curious.

With what you've invested into the dual filter setup and for it's purpose, I think you'd be doing yourself a disservice by not acquiring such data.
