It’s a ppv and on top of that he ripped a lot of weight out of it iirc.

Yes Sir, 2wd, weight reduction and 3.73s

Just changing from the PPV center console to a gutted LTZ center console saved me 25lbs......it all adds up.

@1BADI5, how much Torque Management, if any, is in your tune? I have a feeling that's what's killing my power. Although not as bad as stock, it still has that "VTEC" characteristic at 3,000 RPM.

I would have to ask my tuner about the amount of TQ MGMT and power enrichment he has in the tune. I know the TQ MGMT on a 4L60 is a big power grabber as I dealt with that on my Colorado, we put the value to 0 and went full send.......by doing that it did pretty much kill any traction control I had, but driver mod yo!

Pics of rebuild from last weekend.

Took me about 26 hours to complete. No surprises, only a little wear on the rockers and push rods on cyl 6, but the cam was clean with no sign of lifter failure.

Trimmed off the clip's and the tabs of the bracket for front fascias lip. I think it look's better without it [emoji2373]. Also put my new headlights in. I need the fogs now.

Finally feelin well enough to get stuff done. My shoulder that got fractured in the accident is really making doing stuff a royal pain in the ass.

Managed to get the front n rear differential fluid changed, replaced my shot rear sway bar endlinks. With the help of my 15yo gargantuan son that was pretty easy. Didn’t want to pull the tires so did it on the ground with a breaker bar to break the bolts loose.

Gave it a really good wash, all the nooks n crannies. Spent 6 hours detailing the exterior, claybared the paint to get even more glue from the PO off it. Washed it again, then Mother’s waxed the piss put of it. Thankfully with the help of my son.

These arrived yesterday.

Spohn boxed rear LCAs with poly bushings. The bushings on the OEM LCAs are smoked.....so might as well upgrade. These are also lighter then the OEM stamped steel shit.

Improving and dropping weight where I can

Ahh now I see it, mine is cracked after I railed a construction cone that must of fallen off a truck. Only 1 cone, I found it at 80!
Been there, done that! This one actually bent my shifter cable. I didn't realize it til I thought it was in park and it starting rolling backwards.

Any sign that gets run over and doesn’t snap off at the base turns instantly into a spring loaded giant knife sliding under the chassis. I did have one slice right through a rear shock absorber once.

Mine got ripped off last winter backing out of my driveway over the curb. Messed up the left fascias bracket and fender got bent a up a bit. Cracked the paint, but I got it bent back as good as i could. Lowered 2/4 and if i caught it on the curb when the front end was stock, im better off without it.

Just thought of another while-you're-in-there item: AFM pressure release valve deflector.

Part #12639759

https://www.amazon.com/General-Motors-GM-Deflector/dp/B00CMTK3QI

Thinking since i didn't get the torque right, i might as well pull off the pan again and add that part.

Doing more reading, it sounds like a good idea.

I'm also going to replace the pressure sensor and screen.

I flushed quite a bit of gunk from that bypass, probably a good idea for peace of mind.

Looks good but keep an eye on your coolant temperature. The air dam is there to create a low pressure area behind the radiator.
