Ahh, ok. I didn't know since my 03 doesn't have it.
it has it's own light like tpms and airbag, and it usually says something to the effect of "service stabilitrac" in the dic, I believe certain conditions can trigger both a cel and stabilitrac, but if it's a bad wheel sensor triggering it then it wouldn't affect the engine like a misfire or something.

Not sure if the stabilitrack light being on would be an automatic fail in NJ. I used to do MV inspections back in 2012 in NJ and any cel light was an automatic fail.

yup I stand corrected. Only with cel will the shop tell u it needs fixin.

Thanks guys, are you in PA Paul? That's what I was worrying about is if the stabilitrac system error would **** up my inspection report. I already pulled my Range Technology device last week to run a week without it because apparently that ***** the test up somehow too. Both front bearings/sensors are only 3-4 years old.

You are better off putting aside the money you would spend on an extended warranty than buying one. My Buddy signed up for Car Shield and the first time he needed them, they gave him the complete run-a-round. He had to take it to one of their shops that wasn’t anywhere near him and had to wait a week for the repair to be made. I have a hard time believing a good repair shop would sign up for any program since they don’t get paid very much.

I agree. I got my extended warranty from the dealership for about 4k dollars. 2 years later, ive used it once.

Im gonna dump the money in an emergency repair fund next time.

I was out and about today in the yukon and as I was walking up to to it from across the parking lot I noticed the left side looked lower than the right and sure enough measuring at the wheels both front and rear is 1/2" lower on the left, wth? I measured the front first and thought maybe a bad strut or something could be the problem but it's on the rear also
any ideas? how would I correct it? I have the z55 and everything is working fine. tire pressure is within .2/10'th. gas is at about 2/3rd's

How full is your fuel tank? I have seen various folks on here talk about their vehicles being slightly lower on the left versus the right side. Some think it’s because that’s the side the fuel tank is on along with there is always someone sitting in the drivers seat and not the passenger seat so the right side settles more. Not sure about the validity of it all, but that’s what I’ve read.

Reset your resting ride height with the Tech2. Make sure it's sitting on a level surface and anything that shouldn't be in there is out. Do it from outside the vehicle with the Tech2 running out the window

I have reset before when I replaced the pump about a year ago or so, seems weird that both the front and rear would both be 1/2" but I will go try it and see

Before you do, measure with a tape measure the height of each wheel well from the ground up the center of the wheel so you'll know exactly what the difference is

That's the "GM lean" man... it's widely documented.

Resetting the ride height via the Tech2 won't accomplish anything. The rear air shocks are Y-ed together so they cannot adjust independently/side to side.

I was just going to say the same thing after I thought about, but I measured again and the front left is 5/8" lower than the right

Car Shield is the one Ice-T is selling on TV. I figured it was a sham. Anytime they resort to celebrity endorsements it usually means rip off.
