Hi!
I formed a sheet of mirror stainless steel...
I can't believe it-- and how did this happen? :)
Well, the beer abyss of inspiration towards stylization "GM" on the mirror stainless steel has carried me.
So far, only, not the pickled blanks...
Will be supplemented with hexagon socket bolts, considerations for element contrast and mechanical modifications
On full readiness of the product will be a post of vanity)).

The storms down here were crazy. The roads flooded. We saw “full sized” Trucks & SUVs stuck. I took water over the hood in a couple spots.

Then two days ago there was a stallion fight and one of the horses dented the rear quarter.
These trips are great but this year I’ll spend a week doing bodywork when I get home. But that’s why we have this Old Yukon.

Changed the oil and filter and for the first time in a long time the oil wasn't completely black even after a few hundred miles. The quick oil changes with cheap synthetic and a bit of help from Seafoam seem to have worked. The oil not cooking every day with normal temps with the new thermostat has probably helped. I've noticed on short trips I still have a slight tick once in a while when I park at home, but nothing compared to how loud and persistent it's been in the past.

Changed out the brake booster without disconnecting the MC, although it really didn't want to move out of the way.

I used a hooked pick from the left side of steering column to get behind it from the front, and a screwdriver from the opposite end, and popped the locking washer on the brake light switch off easily. But only after fighting with it for a while.

Wasted a lot of time on the bolts holding the booster, and then had to get the bus to the auto parts store to get a long reach 15mm socket. I just could not get the top right bolt on the brake booster to move with what I had, a 5/8 long reach, and 15mm socket wrenches couldn't get on it. At least the bus is free to ride here right now.
Getting the bolts out was actually easier than I'd imagined with the right tool ;). Finally got the new booster installed and it/something is hissing inside the engine bay when I press the pedal (No assistant).

I did use the old check valve as it fitted the vacuum hose better, but I checked it first and it was fine. That is the only thing I can think of, that or I got a bad booster in a messed up box full of holes.

I should just go down now and swap it but I really cannot be assed as I don't think it's the problem. I will check it just to be sure tomorrow.

Hope your day was more productive.

Didn't install a new PS cooler that I was looking forward to doing today :(

Found my K&N filter not fitted properly. Cleaned the MAF sensor, screen was dusty :( Stuffed a rag behind the filter to keep it firmly in place. I need a new tube/fitting that the filter connects to, and probably a new filter too.

Spent a couple hours compounding and polishing tired stuff. Front grille, bumper, roof bars, passenger skirt paint that's always against the wall and gets neglected. She's looking sexy, but that just worries me that someone will steal her. That's a big reason I rarely clean her up this much. But shit is looking tired. When I'm over it she probably won't get a wash for about 6 months.

In Russia there is a SheviKlan community.
With such an emblem-logo.
Which I carve for the community from mirrored stainless steel.
I have it glued to the rear window-clapper.
For the disc caps, I have already cut out these logos that fit into a diameter of 100 mm

Very nice. Way to go!

Nice job. Did he give it to you for free?

Thanks. Yeah, the trailer was free so I didn't skimp when replacing the wood. I got exterior pressure treated deck wood, heavy duty. That way I can leave it outside, uncovered, for a decade and it won't ever rot.

So one of my pet peeves about using ratcheting truck straps in a pickup bed is that there are so few places to hook into. I'm always having to adjust the length of the strap and fiddle with the ratcheting mechanism. I like how the tahoe interior has those little recessed cargo hooks every few inches. So tomorrow I'm going to bolt these metal eye hooks all along each side. That way when I'm tying something down using truck straps, like a motorcycle or riding lawn mower or whatever, there's always somewhere nearby to just hook into and start ratcheting. They were $0.68 each so I just grabbed a bunch of em:
