Where can I buy the sunroof motor / actuator?

My sunroof was all busted up and missing parts. It's been RTV'ed shut but I'm determined to fix it now. So I bought an another assembly from the junkyard. I've tore it all down cleaned, greased, and tested the new setup. Turns out the new sunroof setup has a faulty motor just like my old setup. The gears are cracked on them both.

I see the motor assembly is AC Delco Part# 15163056 Unfortunately, that part says it's discontinued though. Certainly GM would have a replacement part or updated motor assembly as I'm guessing this is quite common.

Anybody know where I can get a new motor assembly? Or better yet a replacement gear set? I'm going to try to glue the gears back together. We'll see what happens. My truck is a 2001 Tahoe Z71 5.3L etc etc etc.

I looked everywhere I could for a new AC Delco unit and an aftermarket crossover. No luck but maybe a used one in your area of your zip code. For some reason this link will not copy and paste. So I just attached the web site.

can find part used off of another vehicle, looks like years are from 00-05.

I gave the search for this part a shot, as well, and I came up empty-handed. As recommended, you may need to find another motor assembly at a junk yard and piece the two assemblies together to create one complete working assembly.

I just looked on ebay there is several starting at $54.95 just use your search kung-foo

Surprised that Dorman didn't do this or even Gruven for the gears. Someone makes the gears, the trick is combing through their catalogs to find them.
