Why not?

My friend has a very nice boat and a guy asked what the fastest he ever had the boat going and he said, “100 mph, but that wasn’t on water.”
That’s the joke I use at work about my boat. Not 100 though more like 65 tops lol.

I was on a Scarab boat doing 90 I swear just the prop was the only thing hitting the water. That scared the shit out of me. One slight breeze catching the hull and you are wiping out. That was my first and last ride.

I just figured with a small trailer and a light load (wheels), it would be bouncing around like crazy.

I have an 18' tandem axle vehicle trailer that I've driven loaded on trips at 75-80mph no problems, but my father-in-law has a small 4'x8' single axle trailer that I've moved empty from his house to mine (to store it) and it sucked at 55-60mph, bouncing around over every little bump.... Lol

It was on a smooth highway. I wouldn't go that "fast" if the trailer wasn't acting right.

Like for "fast"

Yeah, 80 is casual cruising speed around here, regardless of the posted speed limit. Unless you're on a residential neighborhood street, you'll piss off the cops if you're going UNDER 80. But, don't you dare go over 81 or you'll be face-down on the pavement with a knee between your shoulder blades.

Same, I just bought my Dad's commuter off of him so I'm going to take my time going through the Yukon and repair issues as found. Along with the updated valve cover, I'm going to replace the passenger side valve cover gasket and intake manifold gaskets. I'll also check/replace the valley pan gasket and clean the intake including the throttle body.

So in the meantime it looks like i'm looking forwards to 43mpg? LOL

dont catch a ride on a high pro outboard tunnel boat then ;)

i got offered a ride, it sat 4 people, in-line. me & a buddy went.
first time i ever got tunnel vision. we got up to 115. :headbang:
prop was only thing in water as we skipped across the top w/ the hull.
it was a hoot.

dude said if water were smoother he would have used his 150 shot of nitrous

I've been wrapping some interior pieces on the Silvy with 3M brushed titanium. Practice practice. This shit takes patience.

They look fun. Really would like to ride in a Jersey Skiff racing boat.

Did 90 with this rig a few weeks ago... Decent load with that being a 22' steel deck car hauler...

The big boys have those surface drive props those things hover that chunk of fiberglass up there for sure... 100 mph in a boat is much more a rush than 100 mph on a bike....

Took it to a car wash. Now I have the passenger side retractable running board extendedd.....

Won't retract.... ;-/
The passenger side board on my 2013 works 50% of the time. I need to see if I can break all the bolts loose and see if there is a bid somewhere that needs to be relieved. I have shot about a full can of white lithium spray on the pivot points.

damn that looks awesome....would it match that silver/brushed looking stuff inside a tahoe? im not a fan of the brown wood
Thanks. There’s 4 different 3M brushed metal colors- titanium, steel, aluminum and black. You can order sample sizes on EBay and see if one matches. I’m betting steel or aluminum would.
