I have a oem rear box . Once I I'll install it I was gonna layer it in some sound barrier to give it more solid sound. Might make a difference ,maybe, Idk, never seen anyone do that before
I installed factory box in my 06. The box and quarter panel had a lot of pinging. I ended up pulling it all back apart and putting sound deadner inside/outside of the box and quarter panel. Sound decent but leaves a little to be desired.

What model sub and amp did you put in there?

And how did you wire it up? At what ohms?

Looks like a decent setup for a stock box.

Yeah I think the sub is starved for air. I’ve debated on building a box one day. Lol

Yes, it’s a very small box. I’m hoping mine does ok for the enclosure. It’s a cheapie, but I’m sure requires much less air volume than that Fosgate sub.

I have the console JL stealthbox. Has the W3 I believe. Used it about 8 months before I bought a new Denali. I’d let it go for 350 plus shipping.....

I have the same box. Loaded is the only way but nice try. That would have been cool to happen.

Hey Sam just found this thread been looking at doing the same thing with a stock enclosure and a JL 8" with 250watt amp I have laying around.

Do you still like it? anything you would do differently?
Unfortunately my mods tend to move more slowly than parental and husband duties. I have the box, and sub, but no amp and wiring. I also decided I’m not sure if it’s going to rattle behind the interior panel. So I have it but have done nothing with it unfortunately.
