Sorry to hear about your father. After fixing the wheel bearing, Drove to FL and back to NC... not the best time(my father passed)
Started my trip on my 2nd tank of e85, yay power, boo mileage 14.5mpg on the way down.
Still having gas cap issues(gonna have to order the right one yellow flex fuel I think)
I thought I fixed the cap, and it tightened, but then I was having start up issues would barely idle without me pressing the pedal, I loosened the cap I have and its running fine?
After in FL, filled up with non ethanol for the trip back... 17.8mpg running about 75-80mph with 10 potty breaks(I have young-uns)
So we did pretty well. much more comfortable than driving the fusion, our fusion is AWD and slightly better gas mileage, but the comfort is much better in the yuk.

Sorry to hear about your Dad. When I bought my truck in 2017, the dealer sent the truck to Flow there in Winston-Salem to replace the brake switch and while there, I walked over the parts counter to replace the busted gas cap. After giving the lady at the counter the VIN, she handed me a yellow cap. First time I'd ever seen one of those. Don't hesitate to take it there, those are good people. My dealer kept taking the bad advice from his mechanic and Flow stayed late to fix my truck once he acquiesced and let the pros do it so I could buy it and get out of there.
Mileage on both fuels was perfect. While the mileage was worse, the stuff is dropping in price, $1.79 in my woods now! That's eleven cents a mile @ 65 mph or almost thirteen at 71 mph!
Speaking of debadging, just a bit ago I was pulling off the plastidip that the PO jacktard put on the front and rear bowties and I see they have some sort of staining underneath on the gold part.polished out the rest of the ghost lettering left from de-badging.

Are these things attached with double sided tape or something else? I'd like to just replace them.
Awesome. Danke. You mean it looks like mud on top of the gold but under the clear outer cover? This is common when the two layers separate. The front comes off by removing the two 10mm nuts off the back side (reach between the core support and grille) and peeling it off the double-sided tape. I suggest pushing inward on the emblem when loosening those nuts to relieve tension on them. The rear is mounted with double-sided tape and located with alignment holes.
Awesome. Danke.
