I think I finally see both sides of this contest, and I too was one who has criticized
the rules.....but the rules are not very strong, they can just kinda seem scary for someone without an overly confident ride, one that speaks for itself......but in reality the rules are just there to keep the meaning of the contest, so a winner does feel good about winning, which makes the contest more enjoyable all the way around.....I don’t think we should cut throats over someones picturing taking, but if you take pride in your ride, the contest, and your pic, thats what matters........we’d all rather see someones ride up there we knew, that takes pride in said things, then a random one timer with a sema build........

You guys are way over thinking the photo guidelines. Robbie is trying to get you take a clear picture of your truck, not peeking around a corner, not with the sun washing out the light, not through a screen door, etc. I mention these because I had all these pictures submitted when I did TOTM. Just go out, find a nice spot, try to line up a the shot with as little obstructions as possible, getting the lighting the best you can, and take a bunch of pics so that you have several to chose from. That is basically all you need to do.

It’s a photo contest for TOTQ. Has nothing to do with modifications to a truck. Just clean pics. I think some people are overthinking this...

Just throwing in my worthless 2 cents here, while I agree with most of what you're saying, it DOES have at least a LITTLE to do with modifications to a truck. I could post all the hi-res pics of my Tahoe I wanted to but, at this point it would most certainly not win.... nor even get nominated.
